Bose on-ear TriPort Headphones Questions & Answers
One side of the headphone has no sound, can you
You should check your audio output with another headphones to make sure its not a soundcard/mp3 player problem.
If the problem is in the headphones, its probably the cable (more probable than the problem with the speakers inside), and you will have to have your headphones repaired.
How can I fix an intermittent sound problem on the
I have the same problem. The first one that I bought last 1 year. I bought another one and the same problem has appeared today. I think this is because they are assembled in China. Cheap and low quality manufacturer that is sold at very high prices.
Phasing
If they sound tinny or spaced out you could have a faulty earth connection on the wire or in the jack plug.
For a solution see my tip on replacing jacks and cables on headphones.
One ear has stopped working
You probably can if you have any soldering experience. Check this link out:http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1045725/how_to_solder_how_to_repair_headphones/ If you can't ask your friends and acquaintances. A good little fun project.
Right ear bud isn't working
i have this problem too, except it's the left side that doesn't work. i think that's because the copper wire inside broke or is severed partly. there is no way to fix it... just go buy a new one and this time try to kot coil the cords around hour mp3or ipod.
Wiring
You may be able to take the back of the speaker can off the speaker plate on that side to rewire the headphones. You have to carefully remove the earpad and look for screws holding them together. Make note of which color wire connects to what at the solder connection. Cut your cord shorter and cut back the insulation. Test for continuity from the plug to the newly exposed wires with a volt ohm meter. You should be able to get the old piece of cord out of the grommet in the headphones to insert the working cord. Hope this helps.
How much does it cost to replace pads for my headphones
I've not exactly solved my question, but I have managed to track down a free number for Bose for me to phone. Hopefully they will assist me from there.
Thanks for your e-mail, though I do not expect to part with any £££ for advice, which you can always track down for free, or guided.
Once again, thanks for your response.
Much Love & Prayers.

HEADPHONES STOPPED WORKING BUT IPOD STILL WORKING
Oh, so there is no problem with the headphones. The problem is with the iPod.
There isn't going to be anyone to fix it back to normal without voiding the warranty except the Apple Corp. itself. Contact them with the details of the problem and they may ask you to send it back.
Rewiring
First of all we need to know which part of the headphones were eaten, but most of all wireing is available thru Radio Shack. Good luck.
Bad connection
It sounds like you have two problems. One is your ipod earphone plug ( phono plug ) needs replacing, and # two is your headphone plug needs replacing.
Pyle P22-03ABTU stereo receiver.
Question edited for clarity. It is a 'Pyle' not a 'Pile'.
It is under warranty. Return it, an internal component has failed probably an electrolytic capacitor.
One thing you can try is to disconnect it and move it to another room to discount EMF from something.
