ION Audio iTTUSB Turntable - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Stylus arm grams
Start at 1 gram and work your way up. Depending on the cartridge, 1.5 to 3 grams should be sufficient. Don't make it too heavy...use as light a weight as will play and track record properly. After you have set the weight, set the anti-skate knob (or counterweight) to the same force.
Volume not loud enough when hooked to stereo
It will require a phono preamp...designed for a magnetic phone cartridge that takes into account the RIAA rolloff so you don't lose bass response. A mic preamp won't work properly.
Drive belt bare hands
Won't usually hurt them, but it's nice to have a non-slipping belt. Just clean it up with a little rubbing alcohol.
Preventing feedback on turntable
Hi, if you are getting feedback then the speakers are likely to be too close to ao facing toward the turntable. Cheers john, Stylus City
Tone arm won't balance
I may have answered this before, but if this has a P Mount tonearm, there are no adjustments to be made. For more information, please visit my website at audoserviceclinic.com. Thank you.
NO SOUND ON COMPUTER
More often than not the sound control panel of your computer is either muted, switched off, or set to low. Also check your cables.
Www ionaudio com ezvc
Sounds like a formating issue. Itunes takes mp4's only. A PC usually works with mp3's or other formats. See if the software you are using offers you to record them into an mp4 format and that should fix it for you. If it will not let you record in mp4, you can download a simple device that can convert them. Honestly I thought ITunes converted them already, may be a setting in ITunes to convert as well! Good Luck, let me know if that isn't the issue.
Replacement turntable needles
Look at the cartridge they fit in. That should have a model make and number. Put that into Google and you should find the stylus for it.
