I don't know if a Mac version of software came with your Digital Recorder.
I have a PC, and a similar Digital Recorder. A DS-330 but I'm too lazy to install the software,
DSS Player 2002 and then look for the USB cable.
So, I connected the Digital Recorder's
Ear directly to the
audio-in of the PC via a mono (2 wire) patch cable, with a standard 3.5 mm plug at each end. (As long as it fits in both, the Recorder and your MacBook, it will work). I suspect "The Source" (Radio Shack) may have such item.
You can also use a "stereo" patch cable.
I use
Audacity as the sound recorder and then convert it to MP3. There is a version for Mac available too.
