How do you reboot the Denon AVR-2807 to factory settings

To reboot, turn receiver off by the small on/off button, not the big standby button. While off press the night and pure direct button at the same time and keep holding them with your right hand while pressing the small on/off button with your left. You will see your receiver menu flash. When you see it flash let go of the night and pure direct button and the receiver will reset it self to the radio station 87.50. The receiver's microprocessor has now been set back to factory. Enjoy this info is straight from Denon's Tech support. I had to do this on mine

Check that level setting for speakers as well as sound field are the same for each input mode. Some receivers will have different max volume levels depending on these settings.

Display on Denon AVR-2307 won't work

It may seem obvious, but have you checked the display dimmer settings? Under the front cover is a button marked dimmer. Pressing it cycles through progressive display dimness settings until it goes off. One more press goes back to full brightness.

AVR 2807 shuts off at high volumes

You may have leaky Caps in the power supply or else dry joints on the amplifier section. Faulty speakers or overdriving of the system may result in the amp going into protection. Good Luck, Jus004

Denon AVR Reciever

You might have a short somewhere behind the back of your receiver.Maybe a speaker wire sticks out and it is touching the back of the metal panel,or an RCA connection to a wrong input or output.
It is common because when you are behind the receiver for so long, carelessness will cause you.
A professional A/V troubleshoot expert could pin point certain connection to fix it for you,but in your case,it will be the best to unplug everything first, turn on the receiver by itself and see if there is anymore shut off;if it doesn't shut off after you have nothing that is connect to but only the power cord,i prove my point!
Let me know,

Denon AVR 2807 with Bose Acoustimass 15

Well,i can tell you are not very focus, cause you posted Denon AVR-2807 with Bose AC 15 problem, but under your details, you put down AVR-5807!
First of all,it is so unfortunate that you are NOT able to gain and experience to true ability in sound for this wonderful receiver when you are using a dual tweeters speakers and expect to have good sound separation as a TWO WAY speakers(a tweeter and a midrange-for true high frequency and mid frequency sound separation.)
Secondly, you have defeated the audio configuration of the Denon AVR-2807,since all your speakers are control BY the Bose subwoofer.
Now,i could show you a way to hook this up,and it doesn't matter how you connect them, they are the "bicycle tires" installed with a "Porche"engine if you know what i mean.
If you want a good recommendation for your "beast",i will more than happy to show you the way!
Cheers,

Loss of sound on the Denon AVR 2807 a/v surround receiver when I turn on and off lights in my house

Finally the problem was with the HDMI cable. When I pushed it in on the TV set the problem disappeared. It seems the connections must be quite firm on the HDMI cables otherwise anything may interfere to the sound.

HDMI connection???

Hi Greg,
Again, if you have a high definition dish box with HDMI output, and a dvd player with HDMI output, please connect them both directly to your TV HDMI inputs.
When watching TV(dishnetwork box).remember to switch the HDMI video inputs.
Same as your DVD player, you need to switch it under your TV video input.

Denon 1905/785 - lost color feeding tv

Your Denon 1905 might be setting it under HDMI for video source. You need to correct it by going to menu,as you browse through the setting, you should able to find video select or video output. It is on the manual.
Remember, you need to run a composite video cable from the video output behind your receiver to your TV video input for this step.

Operating my ipod docking station

Absolutely!
Keyword(Read the instruction and follow it step-by-step.) Well,if you do,you wouldn't be asking for help, cause you want a 50+ pages Denon manual instruction to be concise to few paragraphs so you could move on with your life-:o)
Okay.only this time!
Denon ipod docking station comes with a power plug and a set of cable which you need to connect behind the Denon AVR-2807 receiver which is under an INPUT LABEL for IPOD only(not going to give it away, you will find it!)
Now,of course you could use HDMI......but,the quickest way to view your video(on screen menu) will be using a composite(RCA) video cable to connect from the Video output(yellow color) from the receiver to the TV composite video input.Turn on your IPOD,and you are ready to see the on screen manual.
Hey,this is just a lazy way to start you off if tomorrow night you have a date;otherwise, set it up properly by using the instruction!
Cheers,
