My radeon is heating up very fast and my PC

Simple solution: take the cover off the case and use a small desk fan to blow on the components.

Also, try rearranging the components and cables within the case to help with the airflow inside your case.

There are also coolers that fit into the PCI slot, which should be near your video card. These can help with the temps.

Radeon? X1650 PRO AGP

try ebay,or craigslist. you will need a credit card. or just google it and see if there is someone willing to ship to where you are. better yet..just upgrade motherboard that takes PCI express cards instead...agp is outdated but still being used by a small percentage of users with old computers

So I'm trying to install a ATI Radeon X1650 Pro

Firstly you must make sure your motherboard actually has an AGP slot. The newer ones have PCI-Express instead and you can't plug it in and there are no converters.

Yes, the card will work with that CPU and RAM. Everything depends on the motherboard, but if it's AGP and can do AGP x8 then all's well.
Make sure if the card requires extra power that your power supply can power it (for example if the power supply has the correct connector for the graphics card, and if it has the necesarry power to power it). Since it's not a high end card it probably doesn't even have the power connector in which case it's low power and it should work on pretty much any power supply over 350W.

You ask if that's enough; enough for what? A particular game or software? It'll run ok on older games, but newer ones like Call of Duty 4 should work but on very low settings. I'm not sure if your cpu can take that game tough, but the graphcis card can and the ram is enough.

I put my vgacard AGP ATIx1650 to my mobo..

You have a defective vga card. This happens mostly to a faulty device. Return the card from where you bought it and consider buying a new one.

I have an older system:K7S5A, AMD Athlon 1800+(a

Hi,

The 4X and 8X denotes the speed of our agp port
The 1.5 and 3.0 denotes the voltage supplied by the agp to the GPU..

So you board support Graphic card with 4X speed and 1.5V voltage specification.

you should visit the manufacturer's website for. (there is generally a compatibility chart). Major brands such as Nvidia and ATI have this. The most simple way to tell if your card is compatible is to look at the agp slot on the motherboard and the pins on the card. a 1.5v compatible card has a "key" (slot) closest to the rear of the card. A universal card has 2 keys, one near the rear and one near thr front.

Please refer ATI website to check the compatibility with your board before buying graphics card

Here is the diagram to show the differences

Radeon X1650 Series

You are going to need the Driver and support programs. Download them from Radeon. I don't think it will support 3 outputs but I have not configured that card. I know to do so you will need there software so start there. You can also download the user manual for the card from there.
