I recommend you do not fix It. LCD TVs are inexpensive today and have much better performance.

The only inputs tho the TV are cable in and AUDIO / VIDEO in. You can use 'stereo patch cords', to plug into the tv. Check with your local computer store to see if you can find adapters to plug into the computer and change to RCA jacks. All of that means, you probably can't.

Depending on your comfort level and soldering skills this is fairly straightforward pull the back off the TV identity the part, buy a replacement at radio shack swap it out

It is possible that the fuse is damaged (if it is an automatic one). They are prone to damage after first shortened circuit. Try to plug in your tv elswhere and see if the issue repeats itself.

Check and replace its main system control memory IC.

Check it by making a hard reset. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If this do not help you, check and replace it system control memory IC. It is faulty. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock! Instead, contact the nearest service center.

Look carefully in the customer menu at all the settings available.

The Remote for the TV set itself should have either a input or source button on it (some call it tv/video) If you are hooked to a set with more than one set of the jacks they will be labeled video 1 or 2 etc.simply with the remote for the tv change inputs until you either see the picture or the display matches the location you plugged into.

You most likely should have the TV itself on channel 3 and control the channels you want to watch straight from your dish box.

Might take about 4 minutes; maximum.

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE SET (IF ORIGINAL REMOTE) WITH "manual" which would get the owner manual to do this.Each set is different in this process.

First, make sure the cable box is correctly connected and power is on and try pressing the "TV/DTV" button in the top right corner of the ORIGINAL Sylvania remote. If this doesn't work, try pressing the "MENU" button and make sure the menu displays. If the only button that works on the remote is the red "POWER" button then it's likely your main A/V board will need replacing.

The clicking is probably from a relay that is releasing due to a fault downstream from it in the power supply.
If it's failing to turn on, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.
What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core (no laminations as with a line-frequency part) transformer (and possibly chokes too) on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, the PSU may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply from the mfr. and install it yourself but it will likely have the same problem eventually unless they have altered the design or improved component quality.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the main power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload and the power supply for the backlight may be at fault.

    According to the symptom if the TV blowing fuse repeatedly then there must be a short circuit in the power supply, Check the PTC it must be short and blowing fuse due to it.

probably this tv has a transistor damaged, but you can try to re solder all the leads and try to switch it ON again. beaware not to short the component leads.

This TV have problem in Vertical section, probably the capacitor or cold solder. by replacing the dried capacitor and resoldering the component will help to solve the problem.
