Put it in to a technician, you have a loose or dry connection, this should be a simple fix.. good luck !

A fan has failed--possibly is just dirty. I think there are 3 of them--2 near the lamp and one behind the DMD module. If not--check the fan connectors and make sure they are tight. if all ok--a fan needs replaced.

there are several different inputs on back of this tv. the correct video input must be selected from the menu setup screen. some of the older cable boxes also require a cable card . check with your cable company.

Your lamp ballast is going bad. Might last a few more months, but eventually it will have to be replaced. Bulb will also likely have to be replaced at same time, but try the ballast first.

if your tv is dlp. the blub is probably the cause. i have a r5087 and had same problem. replaced blub and set works fine

First Take off the Lamp Door and replace it back the way it was secured with all of the screws. Doing this will reset the safety interlock switch which heats up and opens the circuit causing the set to shut down. After doing this and the set still shuts down check the lamp. Depending on the amount of hours on the lamp it may be a bad lamp. They will fail with out any obvious signs. If the set shut down and goes straight to the Stand By condition then you have a bad Power Supply. If you hear a whining or buzzing sound then you have a bad Color Wheel.

It sounds like you need to replace the lamp.

Take the back off of the set and find out.

I have a samsung dlp tv and had a similar problem. Fortunately, I also hava a samsung color laser printer that had a fan problem for which there was an easy fix. It turns out that the fix for the tv is the same as for the printer - oil the fans. It is really easy and takes about 15 minutes. You have to unplug the tv and remove the rear plastic plate( about 9 screws) The main fan is on the middle tray with the projection equipment. you have to remove two screws and disconnect four electronic connections to remove the tray. Then unscrew the fan holder and turn the fan over. Remove the sticker and place a little light maching oil on the axle. Give it a couple of spins and replace. Put everything back before plugging in and start the tv. It has worked great for me since.

hit the menu button and go to setting and look for brightness. might fix the problem

After turning off do the LEDs on the front panel blink on and off?If so, you may have an issue with the lamp. Probably needs replaced or repaired.

The turning off problem is just a symptom.

The turning off is the protection circuit shutting down the TV because a problem inside the tv is detected.

The TV must be tested to find the problem.
