What settings on a universal charger do I use for a Black & Decker 2.4 V cordless screwdriver

I would say that a output voltage of not more than 2.8 volt and the output amp should not exceed 60% of the Amp hour rating of the battery. Example if the battery is a 2000 mah battery the charging amp should not be more than 1400 milli amp or 1.4 amp

I need to buy battery

Either you can buy the original battery from Black and Decker or you can replace with the same mA rating with the regular types available in all stores any rechargebale variety with a good mA rating.
Couple in series and parallel to get the desired voltage and current rating.

I have a B&D 9019

Hi Boyd,

Welcome to fixya!

I located a parts breakdown for you. Since the clutch worked before you took it apart, I think if you just take it down to the clutch and redo it, you should be good to go.

Here is the website for the parts diagram: http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/modelsearch.cgi?brand=blackdecker&model=9019

Copy and paste the entire address into your web browser and a list of different 9019 screwdrivers will come up. Click on the one that matches yours and you will see your parts diagram. You can click on the link on the diagram and it will open in zoom on a new page.

Good luck to you.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

I can't seem to get the end piece to loosen or

I don't think the end comes off this model. I think just below the switch you will find a sliding compartment for storage of bits. pull back on it with your thumb and it should slide open. Let me know if this works.

Drill bit won't in securely - Black & Decker DP240 Screwdriver

I am going to assume that the bit you are trying to insert is a 1/4 hex drive. If so are you pulling or pushing on the collar of the tool holder to insert or remove a bit. Make sure that the hex on the bit is not twisted also. Let me know and I will go from there.

My cordless Black & Decker

Most likely it is the switch has gone bad or just a loose connection on the switch . you can take it apart and check the switch connections and make sure they all have a good connection. If they do then you should take a volt meter and make sure that when you puch the button they get proper voltage if not then order a switch and replace it .

Where can I get a battery for Black & Decker Drill CD 1000?

This will be a suggestion...but for mine I bought two 18650 LiFePo4 cells (3.7V each) and replaced the original NiCd Batteries. It has been working for many years now, since the original batteries expired and stop working in 2002 (I bought the CD 1000 back in 1994!!!!!). You have to use a special charger for the new ones but they stay charged a lot more and the drill has more torque.

Black & decker 40 volt battery is put on charger it flashes the green light twice then the red light flashes continueously qwhat could be the problem

hi, have you seen this ? https://support.blackanddecker.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012702998-If-my-battery-is-not-charging-what-can-I-try-#:~:text=If%20your%20battery%20is%20not,charger%20to%20try%20charging%20again. Now i don't think that's the issue , it more likely the cells won't take a charger or the bms electronic board has failed , with those battery packs it can be a electronics problem or a failed cell , One thing you might want to check is the actual connection to the battery pack..i seen a issue here where there is a bad connection , the charger won't charge regards Rob
