MagLite - Mag Charger System 110v (M) Model - RX1019 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Rechargeable mag light not working .
when you dropped it you probably knocked the contacts inside out of place. or you broke a soldered connection. if you can take it apart you can most likely fix this yourself. when you remove the front lens assembly there is a retaining clip that you need to remove so you can take the guts out.....please rate this

How do i install a car charge for my mag?
Hi
I had one about 15 years ago and it was installed in the car.
The click in base used to charge it has a metal base which can be screwed into place in the vehicle.
The base take's 12 volts from your mains charger, If you still have the full kit supplied with the torch you will have got a lead for connecting the base up to the 12 volt supply.
If you do not have the lead you will have to find a lead with the same connection on the end as the mains one.
You will need to use an in-line car fuse holder with a fuse of 6 amp's size to protect the lead and charger. Observe the polarity of the lead coming from the mains charger and duplicate it with the lead in the car. (reversed polarity will prevent the charger from working.)
In my case I used the cigarette charger supply in the car to power it. (the load is very small)
Regards
Can I keep my maglite
It would be a bad idea. The battery would soon not be able to hold a charge. It's best to charge it up fully and then take it off the charger.
My maglite magcharger will not
check the output voltage on the power transformer that plugs into the wall. It should be about 7.5v and if that is what it says the it will be defective if the output is actually 12.dc. But if that is what isays it should be then you need to make sure that it is the right power supply.

Rechargeable maglite
Unless you are using your Mag. in extreme dusty, dirty conditions, it is not necessary to take it apart for cleaning. The Mag. is sealed against dirt and moisture. Mags are about the best lite made but always remember; 'Anything man made is subject to fail and usually at the most
inconvenient time.' If I knew exactly where you are at in the dissasembly I could help you reassemble it. However, barring that;
Go to;

Good luck. :)
Rechargeable maglite won't turn on.
I found out the light bulb was bad even though it looked good. Had a fine break in the filament that I couldn't see with my eyes. Pulled the light bulb part way out, put a voltage meter on the two prongs. It showed I had voltage right up to the light bulb which told me the light bulb was bad. Ordered a new one and it works.

Weak beam
8years old.very weak beam no fault to flash halogen lamp . system seems to be not fully charged
Weak light
If the charge lite comes on when charging it means your transformer is still good. Replace the battery.
If you get no charge light transformer is bad, if this is the case (personally) i would replace the charger & battery for that peace of mind.

New battery
Charge it for at least 12 hrs before using and run it down every so often to get a complete charge out of it and longer battery life.
