Using a Karcher B302 pressure washer, OK on water only, but cannot find out how to add detergent; just putting the detergent pick-up tube in the detergent bottle has no effect.
What should I be doing?
It will only pick up detergent if you use a low pressure detergent nozzle - or no nozzle at all. It also takes a while for the detergent to get to the nozzle.

Hi I have a HDS 750 that has been running fine but now refuses to light the diesel in hot mode

Did you check if the igniters? they may be cloged up with ****. Unscrew the Sight glass on top of the boiler and run the machine (in cold or hot mode, doesn't matter, as the igniters are running all the time) and see if there are working, you should take them out anyway and give them a wipe with a rag as general maintenance item, and when you put them back in there should be about 5mm gap between them.
Less common reasons for the boiler to not work
- Faulty fuel solenoid valve, (You should hear a click sound about 5 - 10 seconds after you pull the trigger)
- Dirty fuel filter,
Take a look at those simple things and let me know if its any of these.
I have a Karcher HDS 750 1989 Year model
This machine just keeps going, it's had a fairly tough life but it has stood up to it all,
i hadent spent anything on it until about 6 months ago when i purchased a new fuel pump for it as the old was wasn't pushing 170PSI to the Disiel injector it had slowly droped 70psi, and it doesn't create a hotter burn in the boiler, but still very good for a 19yr old pump,
other than that thats all it's needed, it's still going strong to date

Borrowed a friend's electric Karcher KB 2020 pressure washer. It is now leaking oil on my garage floor. Is it irretrievably damaged? or can I dismantle & fix. Why has it oil in it anyway?
Usually electric pressure washers only have oil on the pump, so its very likely that you will find the problem there. I'd say check all the pump seals and if that doesnt solve the problem, you can check to see if all bolts are tight when you close the pump back.

The metal piece that the pressure hose attaches to is cracked. This metal piece is an interior part that is attached to the pump mechanism by 4 Allen key type bolts. I would like to replace this part but I am unable to find the part number for this item. I believe that the Simoniz S1400 Pressure washer is really a Karcher K320. The unit was sold in Canada. A parts break down of this unit would help. Or perhaps there is a way to MacGyver it.

I have water supply of about 33 gal/min (15 litres/min) (i.e. sufficient to operate 520M). When I turn the Karcher on it runs, but only at low pressure. Doesn't matter whether the wand control is Max or Min.
I dismantled the pump mechanism and cleaned everything. When I opened it I suspected a the "spill valve" was jammed, but its now AOK.
Anyone with any experience please? I can't quite work out what switches on the high pressure side of the thing.

hello mr v,you cleaned out the pump ok,but did you clean out the handle releace valve? that will build up a calcium deposit causing low water pressure,no matter what the in pressure the out pressure is what counts.the valves will fail in time.hope this helps,good luck.MrFixIt. oh could you please give me a rateing.thank you.

OK, have a 5 horse snowblower powered by a Tecumseh HS40 engine. I was having problems starting it and keeping it going, new gas and draining carb and lines got it running. I though I was OK, but now a snow storm and I start the blower, get it running, but it will only run on full choke, stalls if I unchoke it. It also loses power under load i.e. when blowing snow and won' throw. Also, the muffler heats up to red hot - I assume this is not good. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
hello! sounds like the carberator is partiality cloged up. remoue carb. clean out reinstall. the reason it only runs on choke is cloged.the muffler is red hot from too much fuel not enough air.also you can bend a valve if engine runs too hot!!!!

The unloader valve usually is replaced. I dont know if you can get o-rings for it. But if you want to take it apart, there will be a crown or cap style nut just below the spring. Unscrew it completely and you will be able to remove the spool. There is just a series of o-rings on it.

Karcher Pressure Washer with Honda GCV160 engine will not start. Looks like I might not have gotten all of the fuel out at the end of last year and I'm thinking it could be something in the fuel system. Any ideas where to start in diagnosing and fixing?

You should siphon out all the old gas you can. Replace with new gas. Check that the spark plug is good and the air filter is clean. Spray some carb cleaner in the carburetor.. Also, you should check the oil level and change the oil if it is black. If it tries to start after you spray the carb cleaner in but won't keep going then you know the carburetor needs a good cleaning

How to put oil back into the Karcher water pump
You need to remove the pump and sit it brass side up before removing the bolts holding the brass to the aluminum part (you have to do it that way so the oil doesn't spill out.) CAUTION: there is some spring tension on the brass head.
Take the brass head off and set to the side on a rag or in a bucket. Dump out whatever oil is in the oil side, making sure not to drop the swash plate or bearing (the pieces sitting in the oil). Fill the oil end with aproximatly 4.5 ounces of Karcher pump oil, (or just 20w 50 weight non-detergent oil). Put the brass head back on and tighten bolts. Put the pump back on the machine.
