Hello Jennifer, good to see you again. There is pretty good guarantee and support service on this unit as they are nearly 3 grand new! Go to the website and do the live chat on the top right of the page. You need to know where the locking bars are? Having said that, it sounds like it is a problem with the selective drawer locking.Plunger key lock secures all drawers Drawer-specific "lock/unlock" provision provides additional security by isolating access to specific drawers. https://www.sentryfireproof.com/sentryfireproof/en-US/pdp/3l4300-sentry-three-drawer-43-wide-fireproof-resistant-lateral-file-3hd43-5000-formerly-schwab-3/..
If there is a reset combination it's unlikely anyone is going to tell you otherwise you would have free access to any other locked Sentry safe. A locksmith who deals with the brand or Sentry themselves will probably be able to do it for you if it's possible.
Try spraying some CRC Silicone lube down the door pivots and lock arms once you have the door open. Empty everything out of the safe before you close and lock it again in case you cant open it after...
If you repeatedly get an error code when entering your combination I would first ask if your batteries recently went all the way dead ? If yes then possible that the data for your combination was lost. In your user manual for your safe is a factory code for your safe. If you did not change your factory code when you set up your safe then this will work to get you into your safe. If you did change the factory code and do mot have that number either then the only way to get into your safe is to contact Sentry Safe customer ssrvice. They will be able to take care of you but it is a process.
if you have keys make sure they are the correct keys and they slide in smoothly and all the way . If still wont turn try to wiggle the key while turning you may need to pull it out very little to make it turn . I had to do this with my safe and it worked . Later after I opened it I took it to a lock smith to have the lock replaced . Sometimes the tumblers in lock are slightly miss aligned and need replacing . Cost for lock smith to change lock was quite reasonable. Good Luck

If all else fails, it's time to cut that safe open.
You must call (800) 828-1438 for combination retreivals.
If you need your combination, you must send a notarized letter stating you are the owner of the safe. (Note: the owner\'s last name must be different from that of the notary public). For locations that require a raised notary seal, use a pencil to shade the seal to insure that it is visible.
The notarized letter needs to include:
Your name, address and phone number.
The model number and serial number from your safe. The serial number is typically found on the front of the door, lower right corner on a small sticker; the right outside wall of your safe; or under the keypad/dial on the front of safe.
Please indicate how you would like to receive your combination. Options include first class mail, e-mail or fax. Your letter must clearly indicate which method you are choosing to receive your combination, as well as the mailing address, e-mail address, or fax number to which it should be sent. Note that failure to indicate the method in which your combination should be returned to you will result in delays to the process.
Special Circumstances
In the event you need to open the safe after the owner is deceased, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are now the owner or executor of the estate and need access to the safe. You must also include a copy of the ***** certificate.
If you hold Power of Attorney for the safe owner and need to access the safe, your notarized letter will also need to include that you are acting on behalf of the safe owner. You will need to include a complete copy of the Power of Attorney documentation to confirm that you have the authorization to act on their behalf in this type of circumstance.
If you also need a key for your safe, you can order them online:
