Hi Guys,
I have GE Simon 3 Security System (60-875) installed at my house for more than 3 years. Now for the last whole week it start a cycle of 2 beeps after every couple of hours or so. When I press the "System Status" it goes away, and start again after couple of hours.
"System Status" says, "System Low Battery". My question is do I need a new "Lead Acid Battery" for it. This battery is supposed to be rechargable, and so I'm working why does it have to replaced.
If I do need to replace this "Sealed Lead-Acid" battery, can you tell where I can get it from internet.
Thanks so much
I install these panels. For the low battery message to clear you need to power the system down completely. To do this you need to unplug the battery and also unplug the transformer plugged into an electrical outlet. When you power the system back up, you need to first plug in the battery leads. Then the transformer.

I have a GE Simon 3 System and I am trying to add a sensor. I am also trying to change an existing sensor. Please help.
James
You need to use an installer code to add/remove sensors. Depending on what number of digits your alarm code is set for will determine the number for the intaller code. Look in the installer manual for the code. Then follow these steps:
Open the panel.
Key in installer coe
Select Add
Select Sensor/Remote
Activate the sensor you want to add. Some sensors have a button, some have to opened to activate.
Choose sensor name and group. Groups are listed in the manual. Basically, if you want the sensor to arm when the doors arm (such as for a window sensor or door sensor) put it in group 10 or 13. If it's a smoke sensor, group 26; motion detector, group 17 and keyfob, group 01.
Press done when finished and run the test to make sure the system is reading the sensor.

dear tech gods,
Here is my prayer to you, in detail status button first told me battery on one sensor off. after stuffing it w/ pillows for too long. I finally got batteries, when I got to it, the alarm goes off when I insert the batteries. the system status now says sensor failure...as well as phone communication failure....I know, call the company. I did. they want me to renue a contract and pay a tech $250 to fix it .. I don't care if it isn't linked in phone, but I would like the beeping to stop and alarm to work in house.
in my dreams?? amen, Joyce
ps. it has been unplugged and the beeping hasn't stopped.
Two separate problems: Sensor failure and phone communication failure. Most likely, you've not been hooked up to a phone for a while but the system didn't know until it tried to transmit to the monitoring center that you removed a cover on a sensor.
I can tell you how to turn off the panel beeps, "beeps" not only includes the trouble beeps that are driving you crazy, but also the beeps letting you know it's counting down, either when you've just armed it or when you come home right before the alarm sounds.
Open the cover and enter your code using the red numbered buttons inside there. It doesn't beep when you press buttons, so press them well. When you've done it right, it will tell you to choose from the Start Menu. Choose "DELETE". Then, from the Main Menu, choose "OPTION #". Then press DONE. You have now turned off beeps. You haven't fixed anything and that sensor still isn't working but it's not beeping to get your attention now. Press SYSTEM STATUS two times to hear it tell you what's going on.
To turn beeps on again, open cover, enter code and choose ADD > OPTION # > DONE.

I do not have the master code for my system which I got when I bought my house nor does the perivious owner know it.
Is there any way master code can be reset or found out?.
The default master access code is 1-2-3-4, try it to see if this works.

I recently removed a GE Simon 3 alarm from a foreclosed property and I want to install in my garage. I can reset the user code, but I need to reset the Dealer and Installer code to default so I can install the sensors and program it to call my phone. Thanks for any assistance!!!
Here is the manual. See System Programming on page 11 for default codes.

what does "sub disarmed" mean? This is what is on the display.
If you hit the status button it should go back to diarmed. You can have devices that are 24 hour devices (like safe doors etc.) These are on when the control is off. If you turn the alarm off when it is already off it turns those devices off as well.

low cpu battery how do i fix it on alarm system
Open the system, unplug the transformer, disconnect one lead of your battery, reconnect the battery first, then the Ac if it says low battery still, then you need a new battery take the one you have go to battery plus get a new one, and reconnect it, it may still say low battery, wait for an hour for the battery to charge, disconnect the AC and battery again, reconnect the battery first then the transformer. It should clear the low battery. That battery is a
6 VDC 1,.9 Ah.
