Ssc21web password reset please
Samsung told me the newer versions of Windows and Internet Explorer, will not work with this system. Microsoft told Samsung it was their problem. Find a old computer with ME and Explorer 5 and it will work again. I have the ssc17web.
Samsung ssc21 web cameras stopped
Please elaborate on what your displays are showing you.
I understand that during the installation of your Samsung SSC-21 Quad Display Video Security System, you were stapling wires when one of the cameras stopped working. Subsequently all the cameras stopped displaying.
It may be that a wire was crushed during the stapling procedure, but I am not sure how this would effect all the cameras unless a catastrophic protection fault took place.
I am interested in which letter the displays are showing, as your post suggests an 'I' or 'L' or '1'.
I am aware of this system using the letter 'A' to designate Alarm mode and the letter 'F' to designate the Freeze mode. If you were in Freeze mode, this mode can be cancelled by pressing the Freeze key again, and would be indicated by a flashing Freeze LED.
I hope that helps.

I am have problems
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. I think
you want to set up your PC to connect with the net. You’ll need to contact an
Internet service provider (ISP). The computers already have programs on its
Hard Disk Drive (HDD) for internet connection. Follow the ISP's instructions
for installing the software which will guide you through the process of
registering and setting up online account. If the ISP has given you
instructions for configuring Windows, you will first need to open the Internet
Options control panel->Start menu->click Settings->click Control
Panel. Double-click Internet Options and click the Connections tab. You’ll need
to create a Connection file with the access phone number given by the ISP. In
the Dial-Up Settings, click Add and then follow the instructions. After you add
the phone number, select the connection you just made then click the Settings
button. Enter a name, password, and other information provided by the ISP. Click
Properties at the bottom of the box to set your server and TCP/IP settings, if required.
In the box that appears, click the Server Types tab and fill in the information
requires. Click the TCP/IP Settings button to enter in Domain Name Server names
and an IP address, if required. Click ok to close all the boxes.
Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further
assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
How do you format the hard drive?
I have set up a dozen or so if these units.... so it's fairly simple (if you understand the terminology) - By the way, I just got off the phone with Samsung tech support to confirm. John at GVI /Samsung says the drive cannot exced 160 Gig or it will not recognize it period. Secondly, the drive cannot have any format or partition whatsoever. So use a partition tool and delete the partition and the DVR will initialize it and format the drive to suit it's operating system.
I have had luck repartitioning the drives in a basic FAT 32 and making sure I did NOT set the partition as active..and the DVR configured the drive properly. Good Luck!
Cannot connect to internet
i think the problem could be that you need to connect to a router first that automaticly connects to the server, like i have a router thats a telefonica one and it connects itself to spanish telecom,if i use a trust router then i have use a dial connection ip thingy ,so as you only have a player with a built in hard drive then i dont think that you can connect to the internet direct adsl connection without the correct router
COPYING IMAGE FROM DVR TO MEMORY STICK
I got a phone call from GVI. Here's the scoop:
The SSCDVR only supports up to a 128MB memory stick. This was the highest capacity available when the SSCDVR was manufactured.
Further, the memory stick must have the standard Sony interface. This isn't to say that it has to be a Sony, just that it has to have that standard. Lexar and ?Magicgate? are other possibilities.
I don't think anything that says "duo" or "pro" and comes with an adapter sleeve will work. It has to be the "old", full-size stick.
GVI tech support says that the stick will hold 2-6 minutes of video in an encrypted format. It will save as an executable that can be viewed on your computer. If you need more than the number of minutes that the memory stick can hold, you need to sneakernet the card to your computer, copy the file there, then take the stick back to your DVR, erase the stick there, and load on the next batch. Repeat until you have all the data you need.
As a workaround, I use a VCR or DVD burner to back off audio and video. I plug an S-vid cable from the back of the svid-out of the DVR to the s-vid in on the video device. I run an RCA cable from the audio out on the DVR to one of the audio ins on the video device. (I lost my mono to stereo RCA cable, but it seems to work fine this way anyhow.)
Then you just get the DVR to the right place for the event you want to back up, hit record on your video device, and you are good to go!
Wan't boot up
If the dvr isnt booting the harddrive, then the harddrive isnt seated properly in the removeable harddrive drawer, or the harddrive is improperly formated, or you have the wrong type of harddrive, or the master/slave settings on the harddrive are not set properly (master). what ive found is an 80gig/160gig is the most that these things will handle. and some brands work and some brands don't. and the harddrives have to be IDE/EIDE type drives. but it sounds like a harddrive interface problem. They like the older harddrive formatts/(not xp/vista)....good luck!!!!
Not able to play back on the DVR
The ssc duel records with a time signature that allows you to go back to a specific time to view the information on the harddrive. on the front of the dvr there are three buttons and the large round multi button. If you have the unit with vhs backup, then you just press the center small button on the front pannel and you'll get the menu that either allows you to select a time group to watch, or put in the time you want the playback to start. after you start the playback, then you can control the playback with the controls on the large multi function button. If your trying to play back the VHS tape, GOOD LUCK!!!!.....If you have the newer model without the vhs backup...then you have to press the stop button on the large multi function button...andthen press the center small button and then the other small button to the right...then you should be at the menu to play back the video either by selected time/date..or by half hour increments....good luck!!!
Samsung ssc dvr -80
I dont think so, without a remote motion sensor..but you can set them up with the internal motion sensor and have it log the times that there is alarm activity or motion in your cameras... and you can just look at those portions of the recording and not the whole harddrive...good luck!!
SAMSUNG SSCDVR ALARM + REC STAY ON
Theres a setting in the menu that makes it do that. I think it might be the scheduled record times that you set in it. to get back to the menu ( the smaller button next to the large round multi button), push stop and when the record light goes out (real fast)!!! push the menu button, then you should be able to change the setting in the menu...
