GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher - Page 4 Questions & Answers
Door latch
The safety latch needs adjustment or is loose or worn out if you open the door on door side top you would be able to feel the the safety switch with your finger click on and off it should click very easy if not replace it make sure Dw is off or disconnected.good luck
I can't get the control panel to reset. The
II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on
this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.
The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.
GE Nautilus Drain Problem
I had the same problem (water remaining in the bottom) after the rinse cycle. FYI my GE Nautilus is 7-years old.
(1) I disconnected the drain tube at the garbage disposal unit (in the sink) and, using a wire coat hangar freed a 'plug' of sludge located at the spot where the drain tube clamps onto the garbage disposal. I blew into the drainage tube to further clear other 'plugs' I observed but could not reach w/the coat hangar.
(2) I unscrewed the Filter/Strainer on the inside (bottom) of the dishwasher; and further removed the inner filter; cleaned both out.
(3) Re-ran the dishwasher thru complete wash/rinse cycles (to check for leaks. There were none.
Finally, upon completion of the w/r cycles there will always be a small pool of water (residing in the filter area). However my dishes are clean and (after 7-years) checking the drain tube and filters was a breeze.
Hope this helps

The washing filter and disposal is in the bottom of the machine under the spray bar.
What angle should the dishwasher be high in front and how high
the dishwasher should be level.....with the door open check this with a level held against the vertical metal frame at the front side of the dishwasher (where the door seal is attached). Adjust the front leveling feet....one at each side until the front is vertical.....you will probably need a wrench to do this as the feet/bolts are usually quite tight. Be sure both feet are touching the floor when you are done.
Motor not running?
There is a pump motor underneath with an impeller that is most likely stuck. You will need to turn the impeller until it breaks loose if it is stuck. This is a common problem with GE dishwashers and I recommend that you run it at least once or twice a week to avoid this problem in the future, even if you have to run it empty.
Leaking water at door
From what Ive read, a common fix for this is to clean the door gasket really good. Food particles, dried up detergent, etc,,, all can prevent the door from sealing correctly. I would also inspect the gasket real good and make sure there are not any rips or tears. And finally, I also read using too much detegent may cause this so make sure you are using the correct amount. I hope this helps. Good luck.
