System is Starting up - all functions "unavailable"
I resolved this problem by unplugging the unit for a few seconds, waiting for the system to reset, then pushing the reset button, and waiting for the system to reset a second time. After that, the phone worked perfectly again.

Phone rings, but once answered its not possible to hear a voice.
Similar issue - brand new phone - but incoming calls (skype or
landline) would ring - and then nothing, and outgoing calls the handset
would just reset.
The handset would just lose signal constantly (less than 2 meters from the base station).
The phone shipped with the latest software - but eventually I
reinstalled it - no change, then de-registered the handset, powered everything down and re-registered the
handset and that *seems* to have done it .....
So
1 - reflash / re-install latest software from philips website (even if the phone already has the same version)
2 - de-register handset (follow instructions)
3 - unplug base station and remove batteries from handset
4 - turn on base station, put batteries in handset
5 - re register handset (follow instructions in manual)
and that seems to do it.

For the past couple of
hi,
Please take a look at the base station. Just above the telephone RJ 11 you will see a tiny reset hole. Using a bent paper clip or toothpick GENTLY insert it into this pin hole until you feel that the reset button is depressed. Press it for say 10 seconds. Turn off the base and then turn it on after couple of minutes.
Hope this helps.

Lost contacts on my Philips VOIP Skype phone
I had this same problem... If you use Microsoft Outlook for emails, then this might be the solution: Open Skype and click on View, and untick the 'Show Outlook Contacts'.
Hopefully this will cull the list of contacts and will enable the Philips voip phone to view contacts again... Perhaps it's because the Outlook contacts are vCards - something which the Philips phone can't recognise?

"System Starting Up" message on the phone forever
I often have the same problem and haven't found the solid solution for it yet. But, for me usually helps doing this in following order:
1. restarting my router
2. unplugging the base for about 10 minutes
3. taking the batteries out for about 10 minutes
Hope it will work for you too.
