Wont read any disk
Do the disk work on other computers? What is the Format? Is your DVD rom region correct?
Acer power 1000 will not turn on
Whenyou plug in the power cord is there any lights whatsoever on the laptop, wherethe plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of the power cord?When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning,lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the computer is trying to boot or may have booted,but the screen is not showing for some reason.Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short). Maybe you have a Static ChargeBuildup. Remove the Power Cord, then Press and Hold the power button for30 seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in and hit thepower button to see if it boots. Maybeyour memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Removethe Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set thechip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you knowthe memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and tryrebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put theother chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just toverify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the openmemory chip slot and try booting.
Sata hardisk not found while
first just login to your bios there is an option " satamode".you can change it to satamoade is " disabled" or change in to your satamode to " ide ". after u can install windows.
The computer shuts down right
When the ACER LOGO appears press the F8 key and start in the SAFE MODE

If not the hard drive is at fault
Usb drive and cd drive not working
Go to your DEVICE MANAGER (control panel - system-device manager) Open Universal Serial Bus. If you see red or yellow symbols next to any item or items, open it (them) and click on uninstall, if it asks if you are sure, say yes. (Don't worry, they will reinstall when you restart your computer) When you finish, x out of every thing and restart. Repeat for CD if necessary.
No sound
Hi, Normally you click start then right click My Computer or Computer in Win7, click properties, on the next screen click device manager top left, then you should see an exclamation mark next to the sound sound icon, open this with the + sign, right click the sound card
and click update driver, this should then search online, if it doesnt then right click the the sound card again and click uninstall. After youve done this then at the top click ACTION and the SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES, it will then search online for the latest driver, this one will work.

Keyboard not responding at startup
Do you mean when it's initially starting up: before the POST beep, or do you mean after it boots into the operating system? Either way I would try to switch it to a different USB port before or during start-up. It could be that the USB port has gone bad, or for some reason there's a glitch and the keyboard and port aren't syncing up correctly right away.
CDRW/DVD and USB porst locked
Back up your information and re install the operating system. Make sure you have all the necessary drivers for your pc hardware.
