P5rc-la sound chip
Try downloading and installing the audio driver.
Get online
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "HP
Support" or "Compaq Support" or "Realtek Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.
You can also try Driver Guide at:
http://www.driverguide.com
Try using the VLC Player. It comes with drivers and codec. I've seen it solve many sound and audio issues.
Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and
in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes).
Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download
and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's
a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats
and media. It's totally FREE.

Where is the motherboard located on hp presario 700 series pc
Under the keyboard. On laptops the motherboard is called the "Mainboard".If you are unsure where the motherboard is you should stay away from trying to do any repairs or replacements. It will cost you a lot of money if (when) you break something.

I am using a compaq
hi, i believed there is no possible way of putting 2 internal HDD in 1 laptop, seems the area of the existing HDD inside is already limited and also crowded of some other parts...and its not designed for 2 HDD either. the best way for me to advice is upgrade the existing HDD to higher capacity from the existing " GB " to " T " or add up a big capacity 2.5 " pocket size external HDD.

Plugged in not charging issue
b4 you go to your computer, try to check first the both end of your ac power cord by using a tester (analog or digital) if their is a connectivity passing on it. if no indication then check or try to /smile the ac power current adaptor, if it smile burned then their is a particular resistor or capacitor inside was burned out and bring to your nearest electronic repair shop for a replacement of that specific electronic part.....if none of the above is the problem, your second thing to do is read the manual included of your pc and go to battery guidelines for you to check/review the features such as, maintenance, the number of charge, life span and the capability of your pc battery...then try to fully drain the power of the battery and recharge using your pc unit............P.S.,,,if your always using ac- power @ your home, just remove the battery of your PC when it's already full inorder to longer the life span and maintain the battery memory to the fullest. make it 101% drain and re-charge in the same ratio.pc @ home just

Because this is a Compaq, you will need to go to the HP site and enter the model of the computer. This should take you to the support/download page where you can get the drivers you need.
