Unfixable, the entire motherboard must be replaced.

Thank you for your question.

I have provided the link to Hewlett Packard's Website for Pakistan. The model of your computer is required in place of the motherboard, type it in the box in the upper right hand corner. From there you can view/download the manual for your particular model.

Kind regards

The Bios selection should be in 'advanced' features that allows the selection for the com ports. If the option is greyed out, then it is not available for use.

It's look like a memory module failure. It's a laptop or desktop? Try to reset the memory module(just unplug them and plug them back). If you have only one memory module try different memory slot, if you have 2 memory modules try each one separate with separate memory slot. Good luck www.nydatapc.com for more help.

Xitel Inport Deluxe is an excellent solution to convert audio from media like cassettes and Viniles.

INport deluxe comprises, dedicated software, an interface box connecting to USB on one side, and to dedicated RCA audio connector on the other. All this, including two gold plated RCA cables is available from manufacturer at $80.

Since you have purchased the product already, you will be more interested in your compatibility problem.

Inport is fully compatible on Systems from 2000 onward, and does not require any update on Vista, XP, or Windows 2000.
If you have already installed Windows XP you will not need any update. Update is needed only on Windows ME and Windows 98.

Here installing instructions for XP, from manual:

Windows XP Note: If Windows XP is unable to find the right drivers during installation, please refer to the troubleshooting section at the end of this user manual for further instructions. 1. Find a free USB port on the back of your computer and plug in the supplied USB cable. Plug your INport into the other end of the USB cable. Don’t plug the INport into a USB hub - other devices on the hub may interfere with the audio data, causing pops and clicks in your recordings. 2. Windows XP will automatically update your USB drivers. 3. Once Windows XP has completed updating the USB drivers, your INport will be ready to use.

You can download the drivers you need and I could further assist you where to find those drivers. All I need is some more information, such as the motherboard Model number. If you don't know what model you have, you can use free benchmark testing utilities such as Everest.

Can you connect, via Ethernet cable, or wireless adapter, to the Internet?

If so, then open Device Manager, expand the Modems branch,
and double-click the modem. Click "Reinstall Driver", and when Windows asks to connect to the Internet, click 'yes'.
It will search the Internet for the correct device-driver for your modem.
