No sound in win 7 with P5VD2-MX motherboard

Hi again,

I've just run a check, and Asus don't have driver support for win7 on the P5VD2-MX, not sure if they ever will. Though they do have the drivers for Vista (32Bit),

You can download them from here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx

Just type in the model number in the top left corner, select the correct board, then select your OS, then away you go.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Tim

ASUS P5VD2-MX SE recognizes only up to 2500MB RAM

Hi,

Actually you are doing better than you think, According to your MB specs it is only supposed to hold a max of 2GB (1GB per slot). The updated BIOS may be allowing for the additional 500MB.

If you would like to verify, here is a link to the manual for your MB:

P5VD2-MX SE Manual

See page viii.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Audio Asus P5VD2-MX windows 7

Sorry to tell you that motherboard does not offically support windows 7 as such no drivers exist for it. If you can make it work great. Otherwise ASUS would be ha[ppy to sell you a new motherboard that will support windows 7 or even windows 8

My system gives a bluescreen

Hello here is the asus homepage:http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5VD2-MX%20SE&p=1&s=22Please select your windows system. The driver can be downloaded, by selecting the driver and click on global for download. The files needs to be unziped before you install. Blue screen of death means you have a driver issue, or missing an inportant system file.Look in the device manager, for any drivers missing.Try first to upgrade your graphic driver.Visit the graphic cards homepage, for downloading the new driver. You sometimes have to do this in failsafe mode, by pressing F8 when the pc is booting.Good luck

The monitor works ok, but I have to switch it on and off to display anything on the screen. I have changed the graphics card but to no avail. The display info is getting to the monitor but doesn't

Check your cable between the computer and the monitor, It may be a non-sensing cable which will be missing one of the pins so the monitor is not getting the correct data from the computer.
