Wacom babmboo pen does not work

If the eraser part of your pen works but the business-end doesn't, this fix may be for you. Since the only option is to replace the whole pen, it's worth the try. The interesting part: There is no "live" powered electronics in the pen (it is a simple L-C circuit for you tech-weenies out there) - truly the only way to make the pen not work is to drop it and knock it out of adjustment, use it as a crude paper punch, or get it soaked with some type of fluid such as coffee, beer or soda. The pen is an excellent design is designed to just eventually wear out. My pen is 10 years old and still looks new.

I needed a small jeweler's screwdriver for this fix (1 mm to 1.2 mm width). Carefully remove the rocker switch from the pen; it just pulls out. Don't lose it. See the image below: there is an itsy bitsy slotted screw-like device in the center (it's a tuning capacitor). For its location, follow the white arrow in the picture I've attached. Prior to turning, memorize where the slot-head points (there's a tiny triangle on it), and if possible, use a fine point sharpie to mark the screw before you adjust it. It is not a "screw" per se, but an adjustable capacitor and part of the tuned circuit.

The adjustment: Place the pen as normal on the tablet and "tweak" the capacitor by a small 1/16 or 1/8 turn in either direction until the pen reacts. If it has gotten out of "resonance" this tweak should kick it back in.

Good luck!magriv_0.jpg

Pen thinks it's pressed down when it's not.

Try hitting the pen head into your hand 5 times. Do the same with the eraser ( do it pretty hard but not too hard. I hurt my hand with the pen tip a LITTLE so you can gauge it by that). The humidity in the air causes the pen pressure to stick apparently. I had the same problem and this made it work. You should try and clean it too but if you don't want to take the pen apart this is the way to go. i hope this helps.

I have a wacom Intuos2. I have some proble with

In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.

ERROR message "A Supported Tablet was not found on the system"

I have encountered this message a few times, usually if I have tried to plug'n'play the tablet. A restart with the tablet connected usually fixes it for me, but I would suggest removing the driver and software and reinstalling them, making sure you have the most up-to-date version- freely available from wacom.co.uk (though I note you have the latest versions so just reinstall those).
I think, however, your problem might be something to do with the following note from wacom:771c281.png Do you know if you are running a 64-bit setup? There may be a workaround even if you are, so do let us know.

Wacom Intuos Pro continues flashing a single white light, and no longer responds on any computer or with any USB cable, is it the battery or the wiring inside?

Laptops are much more limited on the supply side for powering USB devices. This is limited by the operating system in the computer. There are some things that you can try such as a shorter cord if the cord is detachable. The cord length affects the voltage and that in turn affects the current. The OS then senses it a drops the connection. This is partly for safety and partly for battery conservation. For some time, that device was not recommended by Apple to be used for that matter. There was a bulletin issued on it but it appears that Apple did not do anything to change the situation.

My Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch has stopped working

Using Windows? Open up the Device Manager by right-clicking "This PC/My Computer" and select "Manage". On the left pane, click "Device Manager". Depending of the version of Windows you're running, the tablet could be listed under "Portable Devices" or "Mice and other pointing devices".Once you see it, move that window off to the side so you can still see the entry for your tablet. Now use the tablet as normal until it stops working. If it disappears from the list, you've probably got yourself a wiring/hardware problem. (My tablet's cable eventually developed a bad USB cable from years of moving around/use).Since the tablet itself still recognizes you after it stops responding on the screen, wondering if you may have updated the software/drivers lately (even by accident by clicking an "OK" dialog by rote...) - try "rolling back" the driver to an earlier version. If this is really new, any chance you could use Window's Restore function to go back a snapshot or two to when it did work fine? Always back up your important files (say, documents/designs etc) to another drive before doing anything. Good Luck!
