The only thing i can suggest is remove one of your RAM sticks and see if the machine will boot. I had this problem with mine and it turned out that one of my RAM slots was faulty and would not boot if both RAM slots had RAM in them.

Sounds like you built this puppy.

1) Does it use metal standoff's to hold the motherboard up off the Support Plate? (Standoff is metal, Spacer is plastic)

Do the standoff's match EVERY mounting hole in the motherboard?

To wit, there isn't a standoff sitting on the support plate, that doesn't match up to a mounting hole in the motherboard?
If there is a standoff in the wrong spot, it could be shorting against the exposed solder joints on the bottom of the motherboard.

2) is the 4-pin +12 volt power cable from the Power Supply plugged into the motherboard?

3) Thermal paste applied, and properly? AMD processors don't play when it comes to heat. If they reach the thermal limit, (Like any Processor), they turn off, BUT, an AMD will turn off in a heartbeat.

Heatsink sitting flat on the top of the Processor's case? I use a 'birds-eye' view with the mobo out, and look across the side. (Sides, ends)

4) Zalman fan doing it's thing? Spinning?
Spinning all the time, no intermediate spinning of spinning a few times, and stop?
Spinning at the proper RPM?

5) Patriot ram seated well? Locks are in tight?

Didn't get bumped when you were hooking up power cables?
Remove/re-seat. Only takes a few minutes, and will help you sleep better tonight.
(Both of those ram memory modules in the same channel?)

6) Power Supply known to be good?

What is with the 40GB Seagate harddrive? Typo, and meant 400GB?

*Wireless capability will automatically be on as lon as you have a wireless adapater or a wireless card or a built in Wireless in your motherboard that is properly installed to your computer

*you can check if the wireless card is properly install go to start - control panel network and sharing center and @ the left part of the window try to check if you will find Manage Wireless Network if not then the driver is not installed

*the driver of the wireless adater usually can be downloaded on the manufacturers website :)

did you check power supply? are there any beeps during post? is the fan running on the processor? did you try removing everything and reassembling to see if it works. let me know and good luck

1. If u again switch on the PC, is it booting ? 2. If not please let me know the light indications on the CPU. 3. once remove and replace ur RAM.

Rate my solution, so that i get paid for the service.

Check you start up settings it may be set to start from keyboard mouse or modem plus others even in the BIOS

Boot from windows CD and after all drivers are loaded it will ask you what you want to do
"Install, repair etc" choose Install and then press the R key for repair and follow instructions from there

I think you are mixing ram.... Use the same make and module for your ram... when you mix ram, the problem is other ram can be difernt Voltage. some 1.9V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.2V to operate. If you have 1.8V and 2.0V the computer won't boot. Hope this helps.

Basically Asus wants you to use 2GB of memory until windows has been completely installed & completely updated before you can add more memory to the system.

Type: M2N32-SLI into the search window & click the arrow button.

First thing u have to check the SMPS if it is not working properly then it will restart automatically not working properly it means that the SMPS not giving the excact power supply to mother board now the question is how can u check the SMPS working fine or not do one thing borrow a SMPS through u r friend connect that SMPS to u system if it working with u r friends SMPS then u have to change u r SMPS if still u r getting same problem then u have to check u r system RAM if RAM not work Properly then it will get this type of problem so Change the RAM and connect another RAM to u r system if the RAM is working fine then it will work properly.

Yes windows needs to install one primary driver first and decide which is the primary display.

u have problem with ur key board remove the dust in the key board its not problem with ur computer its a just ur keyboard

To turn it off:
Press the Win + U keys together to launch the Ease of Access Center.

Then click on "Use the Computer without a mouse or keyboard" (most probably the 3rd option in the list).

Then on next page uncheck the box which says "Use On-Screen Keyboard".

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Try going into sound select and test reinstall driver off Asus website..if you installed new windows or update drivers may not work right...see if you can roll back driver in device manager ..if not lookup your laptop model and reinstall...
