We bought this Touch Smart

I don't know exactly what model of Seagate Barracuda do you have. I know that the warranty for Seagate drives is 5 years (maybe not for all countries). I suggest you to take a look at this link for your own country and disk drive, and ask for hard disk replacement from Seagate. Mention that at the disk replacement procedure the new disk is clean (without data) so you will need to reinstall windows at the new disk.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Thanks and regards

St3500320as bios not detect

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but this is what I think.
You tried to use the drive in an external case and the power supply was 19v. The drive really needs 12v. When you put it back inside a PC the bois does not detect it.

Id say it is destroyed. Do not wast you time with it.
If you think it is burned then it probably is.

My hard disk makes a beep sound

If all the conectors are fitted correctly and you still get problems then i would just return it under warranty.
If you have, or can get a spare sata cable it may be worth a try.

How ot install hard disk?

1. VITAL: unplug computer.
2 EQUALLY VITAL: wait for 1 full minute while board discharges.
3 open side of case.
4. VITAL ALSO: touch your hand to internal metal part of case to discharge static from your body
4 unplug old hard disk, then remove mounting screws from it.
5 remove old hard drive.
6 before handling new hard drive touch metal inside case again. (if you have a static band use it otherwise keep touching the metal case frequently to prevent static from "zapping" your computer parts.)
reverse this order to install new one. it will be recognized by computer on its own.

Seagate Barracuda external hardrive - damage to usb connector on

Assuming the drive itself is still ok (it sounds like it would be), then yes, you can put the drive into another case or directly into the motherboard if you know how to do that.

We got the problem in our internal segate

This sounds like a problem with the hard drive's MBR (Master Boot Record) If you have a windows xp disk, insert it and boot from it, make sure that your cd-rom device is set as the first in the list on your boot priority in your bios. Here are the steps for xp and vista

So how can you repair your damaged MBR? Here are the steps to follow:
1. First, restart your computer with the Windows XP setup disk in the CD drive. If you don’t have your original disk, borrow one or download a ISO image from a torrent site.
2. When prompted, boot from the CD drive by pressing any key. If Windows loads automatically, you will first have to enter the BIOS setup and change the order of the boot devices to start with the CD drive.

3. Once the setup loads, you will see the option to press R to repair a Windows installation.

4. Once the Recovery Console loads up, you will have to type in a number that corresponds to your Windows installation. This is normally just 1. Press Enter and then type in the Administrator password.

5. Now at the prompt, type in fixmbr. Your damaged MBR will now be replaced with a new master boot record and your computer should now be able to boot properly. Note that you may also want to run the fixboot command to repair the boot sector with a new one.
Also, make sure you only use these commands on a system with one operating system installed. If you have more than one operating system installed, fixmbr and fixboot could mess up everything.
Fix MBR in Vista In Vista, the procedure to fix the master boot record is a bit different. You have to start up Vista in the Recovery Environment and then run the bootrec command. Here’s how.
1. First, load up the Windows Vista disc in your drive and press any key to boot from the disc.
2. Choose the language, time, currency, etc and click Next. Now click on Repair Your Computer.

3. Choose the operating system to repair and click Next. When the System Recovery Options dialog comes up, choose the Command Prompt.

4. Now type bootrec.exe and press Enter. This will rebuild the boot configuration data and hopefully fix your problem. You can also run the command with switches to fix just the master boot record (/fixmbr), the boot sector (/fixboot), or rebuild the entire BCD (/rebuildbcd).
If you are still having trouble with loading Windows, post a comment and I’ll see if I can help! Enjoy

Seagate st3500320as firmware sd15 not recognize by bios

You need to access the drive controller and reset it using an RS232 to CMOS convertor and hyperterminal. The problem is caused by the firmware on the controller software going into an infinite loop.
If bios is not seeing it then none of the software tools available will allow access.
Once the hard drive is reset, the disk is fully useable again. A firmware upgrade is possible at this point, but usually we just image the disk and load it onto a more reliable replacement as most customers do not want to experience that sort of fright again.
I have fixed a few of these and have the equipment to do it, but it is not really a task for the amateur.

How to format only C: Drive( in NTFS) in 160 GB Hard disk

It sounds like you are booting into DOS. Dos is an old system which does not recognize NTFS partitions, only FAT/FAT32.
What you need to do is use Hiren's Boot CD (download off google).
Use it to boot and use the NTFS4Dos utility first. Then start Dos:
Or once you boot into Dos mode with the CD, type:

A:\>NTFS4DOS
.............it will list harddrive partition letters.........
A:\>C:

The above may look different as A:\> can be any drive the cd assigns. C: is also an example as you will see your drive letter in the list of harddrive partitions detected.
