GPX MW3837 MP3 Player - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Error
Can you play at least one music from your mp3 player? If yes, the file that you're trying to play when this message appears may be corrupted. Try having another copy of the music that you want to play on your mp3 player. If you can't play any music that you transferred, possible causes could be :
1. Your mp3 player was reformatted to another file system that is unrecognized by the mp3 player.
2. The flash memory of your mp3 player was bad
3. The songs that you're trying to transfer is not known by the player ( file types other than .mp3)
Help please
if I understood you correctly, you can't delete any songs, but when you delete them it says, deleted but you don't get the memory back.
to solve this issue I think the best solution is to format the memory, you can do this by pluging the mp3 into your computer with the usb cord, open my computer and locate the mp3 player, right click on it and select format. that should solve the problem.
let me know if it doesn't or if you require further assistance.
WAT UP MAN

Question
my gpx 3837 mp3 player will not charge nore turn on !
Help me
You switched to MTP mode possibly - reverse it
Problems conecting to pioneer reciever
You will need a 1-to-2 AV Y-adapter. One end will plug into the headphone jack of your mp3 player, and the other end will plug into the red and white audio input of an open slot on your Pioneer receiver. Then change the mode on your Pioneer receiver to correspond to the input jack that you are using. If you plug the Mp3 player into AUX, change the pioneer mode to AUX, etc.
ANSWER QUICKLY PLEASE!!!
There could be more than one reason - the most likely is that the HOLD button has been engaged. Your USB port may not be 2.0 - try a different usb port on your computer. You could be running Windows Vista or some other incompatible OS. You may have forgotten to download the install CD. The following information is straight from GPX themselves:
"What if I cannot troubleshoot an error message?"
You will need to format your player. Connect the player to your computer using your USB cable. Make sure the HOLD switch is in the unlocked position.
Formatting can be done in two ways:
- Within the Start menu, select My Computer. In the My Computer
folder, right-click on the icon representing your GPX player. You will
be given a list of options. One of them will be to Format your drive.
Click on this to erase everything on your GPX player. A warning will
pop up to make certain that this is the choice that you want to select.
Once your player is formatted, reload your music files onto your GPX
player.
- Open Windows Media Player. In version 10,
open the Sync tab. On the right-hand side, there will be a listing for
GPX audio player. Just above this and to the right are a set of four
icons. The icon furthest to the right represents, “Format storage
media.” This icon resembles a pencil. After formatting, synchronize
music to the player. In version 11, open the Sync
tab. On the far left column, there should be a listing for GPX Audio
Player. Right-clicking on this listing will result in a menu containing
Format. Select this to erase everything on your mp3 player.

mine did the same thing (I just got it today). I just kept messing with the on off button and somehow it came on.. Now I can't get it to shut off.. the only part of that button that seems to work is hold and unhold now.. lol.. I cant see letting my battery wear down all the time leaving it on.. so I may be returning mine so i can get a replacement.
