Is the remote doing it?...remove the batteries from it and see if it still does that

I have rebuilt a half dozen or so of the L32 series, its almost always the power supply in these, usually due to failing/leaky capacitors. If you have a look on the badcaps.net forum you will find with a quick search that your model number has been discussed many times over, along with other variants in the L32 model range. If your confident and capable of doing the soldering work its not hard to order the capacitors and replace them all on the power supply board, generally you don't have to replace the large caps, the 450v caps are the line power side of the supply, its usually the small capacitors around the power output cable on the board that fail and it requires replacing all the smaller caps.

use your camera on your phone and point the remote at the camera lense, you will probably find the remote is lit up and the remote is the problem, button on the remote is stuck and sending signal to the tv all the time until the batteries go flat. if its not that then the tv main av controller board has a fault. there area on the board for remote signal control.

when my 42'' did that, I had to change the main power board.

check signal-input connections.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Question details gives idea that standby power supply board seems cause of problem, tv has two power supplies, one is standby power board as shown in below image and other is main power supply board that is bigger in size.
I guess you sent out main power supply board for repair that did not make any difference on tv problem.
Check out following image of standby power supply board and replace marked capacitors and resistor carefully (5 parts) if you do it yourself or ask local repairman to fix it.
Standby supply output voltage seems lower than requirement of tv and causing start-up problem. These voltage goes to system control chip that controls other functions of tv and standby volts must be stable and accurate to turn On tv properly.

you need to remove main ckt, (m.board) some part need to re solder specially in hot area. (lost contact i one of the flickering problem you encountered.

These flat panel tv's from china have cheap capacitors. Check to see if any capacitors have pushed up top, this indicates blown or dry capacitor. Replace with exact value, in the power supply area (is where they go bad). TV has a monitoring circuit, and if standby (or ready voltage) is not adequate, tv will shut off or stay in standby mode. Little tired today, so hope that gives you an adequate answer.

The main power supply regulator board to this TV should be checked for fault. Check it, and replace damaged component/s, or, replace this board as card basis. First off did you get the right remote. I had this same problem and was not able to fix it because I had the wrong remote. You should have DSP mode on the remote near the select / ok button in the middle of the remote. The left and right arrows allow you to move through the different picture zoom / format settings. You will need to set yours to the 16/9 format to get it correct. I use the
RCA Universal Remote 5717P. Works great.

Try reading the Manual book that comes with the equipment..

if it was at repair shop then they must had gone through power areas to rectify the problem, or even they must had gone through the common repairing techinques to solve it. this means the problem is not in power area or high voltage area...ok projection tv are well knwn to be heated on areas...the best option is to check the double sided board, and the tracks of the mentioned area. it is very common problem, and tracks get rotted by heat..check it out and mention it to them..hope then can do it
