Check the battery if it oddly shaped or swollen or you probably installed an app. lik Google maps etc. or you hav updated your software you need to del. the app./apps. and reload the old software as the new sofrtwear is ment for the 2nd gen. or "newer" BB's.

Problem was when you got it wet, you did not let it dry long enough. Reason I say this is because when you tried to operate the phone again it shorted out.

Typically it takes about 48 hours to dry completely. The best way is to separate the battery and phone, put them in a bowl of rice and close it up for 48 hours. The dry rice will draw out every bit of moisture.

You really can't do much to fix it. Paying an expert to look at it find the damaged parts and replace them would cost many times over that of replacing it.

I was having this same issue and I was thinking it was caused from me dropping my phone. I tapped lightly around my phone after trying turning it on for several hours and now it has come back on which means there is most likely a loose connection inside somewhere. I hope this helps.

There might be some issue with the BlackBerry Device Software associated with the BlackBerry smartphone so Upgrade the BlackBerry smartphone with a newer version of BlackBerry Device Software and make sure that you have taken a backup before upgrading.

I can't think what may have cause it. I would suggest resetting the phone by turning the handset off removing the battery. Leave for 1 minute and re-insert and turn device on.

Go to networks and allow the device to search networks automatically and turn data service on.

1) Select adress book
2) Press menu
3) Select filter
4) Check on personal
5) and you can enter ur contacts under personal contacts.
