OK guys I'll save you. The tv is in hotel mode. To get it out from there you have to go in service menu but DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER THING IN THERE, only what i tell you. With the tv on and the K letter on the screen press in the same time vol- and ch- on the tv set. Now you'll be in service mode. On the remote press down arrow (not -channel) and you'll see up industry init. go there with ch- and press vol+ and enter. let the tv like that for few seconds and the tv will go green and hopefully industry init succsesfull will be on the screen. After that unplug the tv and replug it. Done!

Hi leprecoce, One transistor out of millions has failed shorted. That is an unusual failure mode, but not unheard of. The chip can probably be replaced, you might want to check google maps or http://tvrepair.com for a repair shop near you. Most shops should be able to give you an estimate, I would guess around $300, unless the chip is hard to get.

Ur Tuner signal board have problems or dead.Ur power LED light indicator stable for a few mins before the power LED light,and the OPC LED light indicators flashes?After the POWER light and OPC light indicators flashes,just push the power button again for the power recycles again.Probally have to pushes the power button 3 or 4 for power light and opc light indicators flashes,the LCD backlght will lght up and work.Sharp tv have this problems alot,very common in Sharp LCD tvs.

What is the TV input control menu set to? It may be set to another function like HDMI or Aux. It is a common mistake.

Hi there, I've been repairing TV's for over 15 years and I would say either a bad Tcon's or main board issue. Theirs no need to replace capacitors these days, you can get the main board from $40-60. Have you tried using different devices on the unit? If your getting a snowy picture on a satellite receiver, check with your provider for troubleshooting guide their unit.
