Why won't it turn on?
Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV.
Also there can be Fault in the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. I have vertical lines showing up
Try one more thing, remove all the connections to t-con board the and clean the terminal of the wire. you can use an eraser for that. with the eraser rub the contacts on the end of the wires. do not use eraser on the sockets which is on the boards.you have clean only the wire. after cleaning connect it back and check. if then also the is lines there is line then you need a new t con board. There is also a chance of panel fault but it can only confirmed by replacing the t con board.

Nothing on screen when DVD inputs are plugged into our Aquos.
Check that the input you are plugging the DVD into on the TV is actually selected as the TVs input. Try using a different input and also different input types/cables. Most DVD players will have HDMI and also either component or composite type outputs. Try the different cable type and make sure the TV is looking at the correct input. Do you have sound?
Poloroid lcd model tlx-04011c wont turn on,,red
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It can still have a problem without blowing the fuse. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you red light blinking codes, circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
