Sony syber-shot display date

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Pictures are already deleted but camera space is still full

Format the memory stick using the camera's "Format" command. You should NEVER use the computer to delete your pictures.

Computer is not recogonising digital camera

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

File Error now shows in camera for rotated photos from PC.

The camera will not display photos that have been edited by something else. Rotating counts as editing. Just opening a photo and then saving it without doing anything else counts as editing.

I don't have a memory stick so I need to know how

You don't have to do anything. If you don't have a memory stick in the camera then all pictures will be saved to the internal memory.

What is the solution of format error message?

You need to Format or Wipe the memory card while it's in the camera. It should be somewhere in the camera's menu. This issue commonly happens by deleting pictures that are on the memory card using your computer and not the camera.

Camcorders

I assume we're not discussing the Sony DSC-W55 since that doesn't use AAA batteries. The battery life varies depending both on the camcorder and the type of batteries. In general, lithiums will last longer than alkalines, which will last longer than a single charge on NiMHs. On cameras that give you the option, you'll use less juice shutting off the display and using the viewfinder. Many manuals will give you estimates of battery life, but these are estimates only, the battery life also depends on how YOU use your camcorder.
