Error code 32:11 indicates a problem in the cameras tape transport sestem.This can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly, a defective clutch in the take-up spool or a faulty rotary mode switch. The C32:11 error is a motor movement error. This means that a motor or gear is NOT moving when it should. As a sfety feature, this will prevent a tape from getting loaded and getting damaged. This unit requires repair. This is not typically a DIY repair as opening these up is tricky and if not done properly can cause additional damage. Check for local labor rates as well as the fixed repair cost from Sony directly. The fixed rpair cost from Sony will also include any parts that are required.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines. I have the same handycam model. The first time I connected it to my PC (Windows XP) via firewire, nothing happened. It cannot detect my handycam. I returned the firewire card to the shop where I bought it. They tested it and the firewire card is ok but the firewire cable is defective so they replaced it. When I got home, I tested it again but still the handycam cannot be detected by my PC. I went online to find a solution and I came upon a solution that you need to attach/connect your charger to the handycam before you connect your handycam to your PC. It said that the handycam needs a steady supply of power to be able to connect to the PC. It sounded weird but I tried it and BINGO! The handycam got detected. I was able to capture my videos.

I also have a TV Tuner & Capture Card but when I capture videos thru the RF cables, the videos losses quality and videos are blurred. Thats the reason I bought a firewire card.

There are many kinds of video capture .if your camera is attached to your laptop check if you can simply ACQUIRE VIDEO in movie maker software available inside XP windows, check programs files folder in your drive in which windows is installed . check picture if your confused more over there are devices available in market click here or about info click here
