Pioneer PDP-4270HD 42 in. Plasma Television Questions & Answers
I moved my pdp4270hd and when setting it up a
Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

LG sound bar connected to Pioneer TV by optical cable not working
1. if you have something else that you can test the optical wire on. do that first. dvd player etc... if the test item works, it's the sound bar (or a setting in the sound bar.)
2. check the audio settings on your t.v. make sure it's set to output to optical.
3. replace the wire.
if none of these solve the problem, the t.v.'s optical output may be bad.

Tv makes buzzing sound all the time no matter what volume level
A few steps to take to narrow down issue:1. With sound all the way off do you hear the buzz?2. If no buzz that way try the rear inputs with a DVD etc to see if same issue. If the buzz is there with no sound (turned all the way down) and via rear inputs you have a transformer (most common area is power supply) that is vibrating hard enough to create the sound or buzz.Only two ways if that is the case to deal with it---replace the board it is coming from (have seen brand new sets with this) or in some cases I have been able to locate the offending part and apply hot glue to it and stop the buzz.SD TECH

No pictutre but sound and
Hello,
Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.
The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.
Often there are fuses on that board - one or more.
if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.
Hoping that will help out in solving the problem...

How can I switch my screen resolution on the
Change the resolution on the cable box or satellite box, witch ever you have. A set by itself cannot change the resolution, if the cable is giving you 720p, that's what you'll see for that station. All stations do not transmit in HD. The best picture is only as good as they're giving you.

A common problem for these is bad
capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the
power supply on the left hand side.
You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that
are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any
that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being
sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a
higher voltage.
Hope this helps

Pioneer Plasma TV-PDP-4270HD won't turn on. TV
Try this! There should be a power button on the bottom of the panel that has to be depressed for the television to power on. It is the main power supply button and without it there is no power going into the TV.

Good remote control doesnt work in the tv
IF you haven't replaced the batteries it may just be the age of the remote although in good condition to the eyes, maybe you should consider getting a universal remote, it comes with a manual and a list of codes and instructions on how to program it on your TV.

Powers off by itself
You need a firmware upgrade that has to be done by a tech onsite. I've done many of them. 12 Blue blinks is a TVGuide download trouble and doesn't hurt the set but a firmware update should solve it. If it occurs again after that you need the Main Assy replaced but make sure the firmware is updated on that also.
Problem will go away
Hope this helps
