Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens - Page 2 Questions & Answers
My Nikon says that this battery cant be use choose the one desinated for it
You probably bought a battery that's not original and is not decoded.
Nikon uses coded reading of batteries, so you can't put any battery in
it. Try recharging it and test if it works. If it's an original battery with a certificate on it, you should contact your nearest Nikon store or the store you bought it in.

I could not found white balance in shooting mood
You can set the white balance only in one of the P, S, A, and M modes. In the point&shoot modes the camera will always automatically set the white balance (and just about everything else). In one of the PSAM modes you can set the white balance in the Shooting menu. Full details are in the "White Balance (P, S, A, and M Modes)" section of the manual (page 70 in my copy).

Black speck in images
Take a look at "The Low-Pass Filter" subsection of the "Caring for the Camera" section of the manual (page 105 in my copy). If you need a manual, you may download a copy
here.

Nikon d40 monitor is black when camera is on
Does the menu show when you press the MENU button? Can you see your pictures when you press the Playback button (right-pointing triangle)? If so, then there's nothing to fix.The D40 works as SLRs have worked for half a century. There's a viewfinder which allows you to frame and compose your picture. The LCD monitor is for menus, camera settings, and picture review. LiveView, which allows you to use the monitor for shooting, is a recent development, which Nikon introduced into their cameras with the D3 and D300, both introduced years after the D40.

Nikon d40 wont shoot continuously
Check your card that it is big enough. Also, make sure to format the card before taking any pictures in the camera you are to use it. If you do not, and it has been in another camera, corruption can occur and problems as you have stated as well. The card may not be supported by this camera. Read your manual. Reset all settings to factory defaults. Then set them as you wish.If the problem continues, do more testing as follows.Remove the battery and replace it with a fully charged battery, or recharge the battery.Hope it works

Won't take picture
try to switch manual focus on the lens or change with other lens then take a picture, if the camera can take pictures that mean the lens is broken.
