Tomtom GO 910 GPS Receiver - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a question concerning the tomtom 910. When
Connect your TomTom to the car charger and turn it on. Tap the lower right hand cornor where the sat. signal graph is. On the screen that comes up check to see if it is chargeing while connected to the car charger. It should say charging in the upper right hand cornor where it shows the battery status. If it isn't charging then you have either a bad pin on your windsheild mount or your charger is not working. If the charger is not working it may be as simple as replacing the fuse in the charger.
I cant find map updates for free
These units are not updates all the time like one would think.. They will sale you new maps but updates to the current will come with the new maps.. Yes agreed a money making scheme but just think about this you do not have to pay for it monthly.. I bought on of these and had to pay for the maps and upgrades.. The thing about this you cannot prirate them because there going to sale it to you on a SD card. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

How to go to main menu tomtom1605
When you tap on (or near the middle area of) the navigation screen ( ... the screen showing the roads of a map ) ... you will get the "main menu" ... of things that you can do.
Down load data from Tom Tom 910
Yes but as a member of the public you will not have the appropriate software or equipment.
Your insurance company will help especially if it helps their claim or the Police will assist you gathering evidence for a prosecution.
Info gained will be speed, time (set by sat gps receiver) not what time you say it is and exact location with 3 square metres and direction of travel.
Hope this helps with your question.
TomTom 910 freeze, long turn on
It is possible that the map data(base) and/or the navigation software is corrupted.
Have you tried running a (fix) disk utility against your (internal or external) storage disk for the GPS ?
For instance, connect the GPS to your PC (Windows), and select (highlight) the (internal) "disk" on the GPS device. Under File - Properties, go to the Tools (tab) and run the "Error-Checking" option.
This utility may fix your data error.
If not, consider doing a restore (from backup) of your GPS disk storage.

Reset button on 910 ???
Before you reset your 910, first make sure your battery is (well) charged and if you are using an SD card, it is taken out. The reset button is actually a tiny hole at the bottom / base of the unit. Simply use a straightened out paper clip or something similar, insert it into the hole and hold it there for 20 seconds or so, until the device turns off. Then push the ON/OFF button and hold it down for a while ... (5 seconds ... or lots more) until the device powers up again. If you're using an SD card, you can then insert the card (when it is looking for it).
Will the 79 pound map update apply to all maps
It usually finds and updates whatever map(s) you currently have on your GPS device. However, if you have a few maps, it may offer you options to buy more (maps) ... as one or more updates ... for one or more additional charge.
Receiving a no gps signal. please move to an open
Sounds like an antenna problem. Some units have internal antennas and some have external ones that plug into the unit with a small cable. The unit thinks you are still inside and cannot find a satellite to lock on to.
