MP530 printing a black line on the bottom of page I print.
After reading the instructions for taking the printer apart from top to bottom (where the absorber is), we opted to follow someone else's advice for a quick fix. We turned the printer upside down and used a box cutter to cut a trap door in the center of the bottom, pulled out the absorber, replaced it with an equivalent sized rectangle of printer's cotton, and taped the door shut. It has been working fine for several months now.

Canon error 6400
Open the ink replacement cartridge and unplug the printer when the printer head assembly moves to the center. Check the rollers and other parts for pieces of paper that may stop them from moving properly. Check the purge unit to make sure no foreign objects interfere with its movement. It should move easily along its rails without being forced. Also make sure the small ink pads in the purge unit are secure in their holders. If you removed any obstructions, the printer should start working. If the error persists, you may need to take the printer in for service.

When my Canon MP530 prints color, instead of solid
The printhead needs to be cleaned. Remove the cartridges and printhead. Soak the printhead in warm (not boiling) distilled water overnight to desolve the dried ink. Dab off the moisture with a soft lintfree cloth. Allow the printhead to airdry for a few hours (you can blowdry the printhead on thel low setting). Reinstall the printhead and cartridges. You may have to repeat this a couple of times if the printheads are very clogged.
Let me know if you have any more questions or problems. Thanks.

My printer leaves a black line vertically down the
If the line is on the back of the paper then you have a dirty paper pushing roller - you will need to dismantle the printer partially for a thorough cleaning.
If the line is on the printed side and it's there only when you scan or copy a file then the scan unit sensor is faulty. The only way to fix that is to replace the sensor and that would cost more than a new printer.
If the line is on the printed side and is there whatever the source of the printed file it means that the memory buffer from the processor of the printer has a faulty cell. There is nothing that can be done to fix that - the processor, and the entire printer with it, is dead.
Sorry, time for a new one.

Wasn't printing the right
This is always the problem on Canon PIXMA MP Printer models. Its internal panel board inside is so sensitive to colors. What you will do is go to your printer and there you will find out its properties and or maintenance to solve the problems on ink. Just try to clean up your printer using the maintenance part of your printer. Keep trying to do this until the color becomes satisfied to your looks. Good luck!

Waste ink well nearing full.
Hi
Ink absorber (waste ink pads) is a sponge
pad that is located under the chamber where you insert the cartridges. You can
locate the waste ink pads to the right of the cartridges. Open the cover, move
the cartridges to the centre, and then press the pad of absorbent paper towel
onto the waste ink pads. This will absorb a lot of ink in the pads and that
will remove the warning after you reset the printer waste ink tank counter.
Another thing you can do is to completely replace the waste ink pads or maybe take
a hot water towel and clean it till the time you see no ink residue on the
towel & then let it dry out. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.

Printer blinking error 6500
The error code of 6500 is a PCI bus error and this is a Service Error Code. Typically this is an internal error of one of the ASIC chips on the logic board and can only be repaired by replacing the logic board at the Canon Service Center.

Error code U052 how do
U052 is a temperature sensor in the works below the cartridges.
Canon can ship you the part; it's not the inks cart, but then it's not for me to say 5 minutes with the power off or 20 with either a solvent cartridge (especially on any colors with stripe dropouts) or cleaning the works and reseating flex cables won't fix it. (Take it to a Canon shop per any surviving repair warrants; it's serious enough.)
