Paper jam means their may be small bit paper jam in side
There are some "micro-sensors" that detect a paper jam. There will be tiny piece of paper, or a lump of dust, inside those sensors, thus "tripping" the sensor and saying you paper jam.

To solve it
Open printer cover and check to make sure no paper or foreign objects obstructing the printer feeder
If you become sure that now really there is no paper, dust or foreign objects then
Turn the printer off, and disconnect the AC power-cable. Open the printer cover & now give the printer a "blow-job" by compressed air.
If still problem exist then best & final option is to just contact to any Canon Printers service provider.

Remove all ink tanks (printer is on), remove printer ink cartridge carrier head. clean head with alcohol wipes thoroughly, not contacts. Push in gently print cartridge pistons on cartridge carrier. Reseat print cartridge and ink tanks, replace any very low ink one's. turn off printer, unplug electrical, remove usb on printer and computer. plug all back in, turn on. Alarm and message should disappear. Clean and realign with software.

This error is referring to the ASF assy (Assembly frame which means the paper feed section)
This paper sheet feeder assy is a extremley complicated piece and is therefore not really repairable. You will need to take the machine to a canon repairer for a new assy sheet feeder to be fitted. It takes a trained engineer about 2-1/2 hours to fit one as the whole machine has to come apart and the new feeder has to be aligned while fitting. Its a job i always hate having to do. You dont have any other options i am afraid. Srri to bring you such bad news.

This problem mainly happens because of failure or print heads or the ink system. This error is a hardware failure and not a software issue. Most of the time it happens due to gradual wearing out of the print head. The first thing to do is to replace the print heads, If this did not work, it is the logic board fault and it will not be worth repairing the printer if not in warranty. You can still send the printer to Canon to get the bad hardware replace, if you don't want to buy a new printer.

It means the machine will re-dial the number you have fed in, if it is busy, automatically. For that you have to set the machine to do so. Please go through the manual/user guide provided with the machine and set it up.

Well what I suspect has happened is that something has fallen into the sheet feeder. When you pull the paper back out you will see on the leading edge of the paper a "Nick/crease". Offer this back up to the sheet feeder and you will now be able to see where in the sheet feeder the obstruction is. Whatever it is will have fallen way down into the machine. Unfolder a large paper clip and bend the end 90 degrees to the rest of the clip (an L shape). See if you can get the paperclip down into the sheet feeder and hopfully dislodge the obstruction. Remove the inks and printhead and turn the machine upside down and give it a good shake. Hopefully the obstruction will fall out. if no joy then you are stuffed as you MUST not seperate the sheet feeder from the main body as there is an alignment procedure. Failure to do this will result in shredded gears!!.

There is no font size on any printer. The printer only prints what you send to it. Change the font in the doument you are printing before you send it to the printer.

Most all programs have a manuel built in.Open your scanner program and go th help. you should be able to find all the info you need

I suspect you have tried to install the printer wirelessly in the normal way but what you have probably not realised is that you have to have the printer cabled to the pc. Now use the cd and follow the install procedure for wireless connection. This is the only way you will get wirless connectivity to work. i am a Canon engineer and this is a common problem because like all of us we are impatient and rush the job. It took me quite a few hours before I found out that without the cd you aint gonna do it.

There should be an enlarge button. push that and then scroll through options with the + or - buttons. Under "zoom" you can use the number pad to put in the size you want.

You wouldnt not as long as you have a wireless router hooked up so the printer can communicate with your pc. If you dont have wireless router then yes you would need wire. Even though printer is wireless it has to communicate wirelessly with something..

from the solutions center or from proprietis of printer select clean the prin cartige if after that problem persist clean the circuit from the printer where the black cartige has entered with alchool. after the circuit is dry put the cartidge back and click clean again.

The chip in one of the cartridges is bad.

disconnect it from power for 10 minutes and also check for jammed paper. That should do the trick

Try to set up again new scanner with the same name and remove the old scanner icon.

Also, uninstall and reinstall the printer software might help you solve your problem.

Error 6000 actually a line feed error, with the problem originating from the timing disk film or the printer's logic board.
To solve this problem:

Check the timing disk film or Check the feed roller if is there any foreign body, remove it softly
Timing disk film is located at the left side of the printer, look at the picture given below to identify it.



If you didn't get it and have confusion to solve it yourself then go to Canon authorized service facility for repair. You can also get support by Canon by phone, at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666)
