It sounds like you may have a print job stuck in the printer queue. This will happen from time to time. So we need to clear the memory on the system.

To do this unplug all connection from the printer this include the power cord. Next hold down the power button for about 45 seconds. This will make sure that all the power is cleared from the system. Next reconnect the printer to see if you still have trouble.

If you still have trouble check all computer that you own and make sure there is not any print jobs in the print queue. If you still have trouble and/or need help checking the print queue let me know the make and model of your computer, as well as the operating system you have as this could be a configuration issue.

Reading paper jam

these machines only have one sensor that gives the paper jam message, and its not uncommon for a foreign object to find it way inside and hold the little black lever open and give you a false paper jam message.so first remove all paper from both the cassette and rear feed, then use a torch/flashlight to look inside, you might need to open the rear door and look in there as well.

Displaying check ink despite new

If the lights are flashing fast this indicate they are empty and the printer will not work proper until replacing ..Even if the black it is just changed..it might not work if the others are flashing quick indicating cartridge empty for good..They do start to flash when it is almost empty (but the flashing are rare ..and is just an warning to change them ) ..in this case it might work to print black ..but if they are already empty ...it might display an error and do not let you print until replace them ..
In this case you may still try to make a printing in black ..but you have to reset the printer first ..
Unplug power and USB cable.
Open door and hold power button.
Connect power.
Close door, then release power button.
here is the manual in case you need it ..

After switching the printer on

First of all, check to see if you also hookup the phone cable to jack too? If yes, temporary unplug it to see if noise goes off.
Also, open the lid to check on the drive belt. It may be loose and not able to drive the carriage. There is the gear on the right side of the carriage and a pulley on left side of the of the carriage. The spring which holds the pulley tight might be broken. Check that to see if it is the case. If it is that is why it makes loud noise when printing. And if it is not fixed, eventually you will receive an error message and printer will not work.
Check that and let me know.
Thanks

I want to scan my

Put your document in the feeder on the top or open the hood to put it on the glass. Then press scan and start or "ok" to get the process started. Watch the digital read out on the printer when you press commands.

There are two ways to scan using an all in one printer. One way is requesting the scan by using the software inside the computer. To do that, open the software that came with your printer and click on the scan option, then follow the prompts. Using this method requests the scan from the pc to the printer.

The second way to scan is using the controls on the printer itself to send the scan to the pc. Using this method is a little harder and more complicated then the above stated. When you press scan and then ok or start, the printer might need to search for compatible programs to send your scan to. if this is the case, then you will have to choose from the programs that it retrieves and displays in order to make it happen. if the printer does not automatically locate a compatible program installed on your pc to send your image to, then the scan request cannot be completed and it will error out.
