Time Machine would only help you in the future. Is your Mac set up with Time Machine? If so you should be able to get the deleted files that way. Click the Time Machine icon in the dock. Then go back to before you deleted the files, they are probably still available. If you don't have a Time Machine backup yet, then your best option would probably be Data Recovery for Mac Mac Data Recovery Photo Recovery and Free Registry Cleaner from uFlysoft

Is 'sotck' an acronym ? If so, please can you spell it out.

Take it for a service - cost will depend on the amount of work needed.

1. Turn off the camcorder.
2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds.
3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.
4. Turn on the camcorder.
5. If the error message appears, service may be required.

If your camcorder still shows the same error code, then you'll have to send in your camcorder for service.

You can take the memory card out from Sony Camera, and then connect the memory card to computer with a card reader, you can then download a data recovery software to scan the memory card and recover lost photo and video filesPhoto Video Recovery Software

When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead. So most of the time, you are able to get back deleted files from computer. You may try a free data recovery software to view deleted files so that you know whether the deleted files are recoverable. no solution...u need to go to sony service center and replace the HDD. It will cost u around 8K.

This is a failure of the image orientation circuitry in the camera and will require disassembly and probable parts replacement.This cann be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.
