Forgotten my password for my blackberry
i am almost positive you cannot "over ride" your password. i recently set my password and it warns that if you set it and then forget it, there is no way to retrieve it. i think you have to get a new SIM.
Unlock 8800
There are only 2 ways to unlock your Blackberry:
1. Get an unlock code from your service provider. Usually if you have been a customer for 90 days and plan to continue as a customer, you can tell them that you are going out of the country for 2 weeks and would like to use a local pay-as-you-go service with your Blackberry. This code would be free (if they will give it to you) and will take about a week to get.
2. Pay a third party company to provide you with the unlock code. One site that is often quoted as being good is: gsmphonesource.com. You email them your IMEI number and they will email you the unlock code, usually the next day. The cost is US$50-$60.
Reconciliation
You need to get your service books resent to your device, there should be an option to Prompt on " mailbox and handheld " and another option to turn reconciliation on.

Hour glass!
Try taking out the battery and the microSD memory card, if you have one. If that still doesn't work, then you will need to wipe the operating system off the device and reload it. The links below show how to do this:

Bb problem
You might try registering on the network again. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Highlight one of the tables, press the BlackBerry menu key, then select Register Now. Also, contact your wireless carrier and ask them to resend the service books to your BlackBerry device.
BBerry 8830 losing emails, call log and SMS log
The deleting of messages and/or call logs typically indicates a low amount of internal memory. The BlackBerry devices have what is called a Low Memory Manager that will kick in when the memory on the device gets low.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. This is where you remove the battery from the BlackBerry while it is still powered on. Leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, follow the steps in the link below to maximize the memory on the BlackBerry:
