Hello Go to MAIN MENU> ADDRESS BOOK> LIST ADDRESS. select LIST ALL then tap DELETE To Perform areset,press a paper clip or pin into the hole marked "Reset" on your device

You'll more than likely have to purchase an update software for your GPS system or even try using the disk that came with your unit if applicable. If not you could always connect your unit to a computer to see if updates will install or refer the manual which came with your unit. Last resort try calling the company to see if you can get any info.

This is a software problem that requires the Magellan GPS software on your GPS device to be updated the latest version, or sending the GPS device in for repairs and updates.

I would recommend sending the GPS device in for repairs since many people have had no luck updating the software when having the Unable to launch application error.

this is a very common problem with your model gps

the following advice pertains to the following magellan gps systems.

Magellan 800, 860, 2000, 2200t, 2500, 3000, 3050, 3100, 3140, 4000, 4040, 4050, 5310 and 6000t

i fix these and many other magellan gps daily so when considering my advice , please understand i do not google my solutions.

assuming your car charger is working (the little green light is on) and your magellan still wont start up after holding the power button while its plugged in for up to ten seconds and still does not start..read below

this is actually a very common problem with these magellan power ports...they are poor quality from the factory and always and i mean always fail..the new ports that you find on ebay are 100% better then the factory port.

if your able to replace that power port yourself, you can get one HERE, if not, ask the fellow that sells them for help.

due to some dubious "experts" on fixya, im not permitted to help you directly, but please follow the link above to get further help.

charge it up for a few hours, then take it outside and start your 3100, then get a paper clip and depress the reset on the left side near the bottom of your 3100 to reset it and let it restart, then wait for a while (could take up to 30 minutes after a reset) and let it acquire/lock on to the satellites. that should fix it, but if it doesnt, let me know and ill tell you what to do next.
