chect the operating system maybe some files or configuration change.. try to re install the operating system,, save first you data or make back up.. in another drive.

simply get the cd/dvd rom.that simple

If you can see the images (though faintly) then it should be the video inverter that needs to be replaced.

If you can't see the screen at all, it is probably your LCD that needs to be replaced.

The driver can be downloaded from HP's website under Drivers and Support. Unfourtunatly corrupt registry entries are really hard to work with. I do not know any other way then to reinstall the software and hope for the best.

try to boot the computer using the recovery disc in it, sounds like some operating system files are gone or corrupted, booting from the disc should reinstall the os, or the missing files, but it will check for hardware problems anyways......hope this helps...shia

Sounds like some water or other liquid got into the keyboard or could be that some keys are sticking. With the laptop turned off. Run your fingers thru all the keys going from left to right, up to down. This will ensure that if any keys are sticking that they will become unstuck.

Turn on the laptop and if you still have the problem then the keyboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

The DVD -R +R means that you can read these types of DVDs that have been created elsewhere, it doesn't mean you can write to your DVD under the format of -R or +R. The CD is a CDRW which means you can read and write to CDs.

I don't think that a factory Satellite P100 has the ability to write to either DVD -R or +R, but to only CDs. I have a P200 that has a DVD -R +R/CDRW and it can't write DVDs. These DVDs you put in are for read only. My Toshiba A215 can but it's a DVDRW/CDRW.

Use a 3rd party application such as nero

Removed battery first. You should disassemble it to clean and wipe it dry. From bottom to top. Under its keyboard. Don't power it on until you are sure no water remains.
