HP Pavilion dv9000us (RP246UA#ABA) Maximum Ram?

ask the top makers of memory that, kingstone the limit is clearly in the manual RTM http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01311536.pdf page 10 pdf. for better answer ask HP directly? yet? we are not HP. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/ for RAM to work (only right Ram spec, works) AND the BIOS must like it too. if not fails. all upgrades of any type can cause issues. so we do not upgrade or work the issues, 1 by 1. its your call what you want to spend or time wasted, on upgrades. upgrade from what, XP , vista? unsaid. using what media, HP , there is non now for 11 year old HP. so my guess using MS disks, from what source? endless bad sources exist, a retail boxed set w7 from MS, ? goodl but MS does not sell W7 direct now, that means finding NOS new old stock off a shelf , for $120 retail . issues with upgrades are (besides just RAM) are vast. chips that fail to have working driver for W7 are vast. LAN WIFI sound to name 3. (even video GPU if unlucky) non ATI non Nvidia. now RAM start with #1 in the business. ask them. https://www.kingston.com/us

The display of my HP

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

T1900 LAPTOP 1993 - Toshiba

Don't need THE boot disks.
A system disk from any OS will do.
Insert disk before power on.
It should tell you whether it is compatible.
If so it will load its own drivers.
and if not it may tell you what OS is on there.
ps. OS = operating system

HP product ID# is best on the service tag for SURE. where did you see this number, not told. or that number is some 20+ year old COMPAQ PC ,lost in the sands of time, and no google hits. you posted to HP forum, (not real) Hp.com is real

Hp pavilion g series manual

what does not working mean (KBD) dead, or 1 key bad or row. what? symptoms matter most, for sure in a LAPTOP IS IT the word Pavilion is on laptops and desktop, dig? G mean zero , the service tag does not just say "G" sorry. easy peasy lemon squeezy HP.com complex URL no? go there tell them your model # or better the service tag code ! . then magically HP puts you on YOUR service support page and all manuals and all driver before your eyes. amazing no? NO told at all or of a laptop or desktop or what./? you posted ANON so I can't just read other posts by you to learn what PC this is , no I can not. there are over 100 PC called G series, and vast years. some PCs by them G1 to 7 are generations, like HP Pavilion g6-1029tx Notebook. if you can find the service tag the product ID # is what matters most this code includes (real model, version , options and country sold) see this, older PCs by them had this. see that , all matters but do not post SN/ or service codes in public. mine: procuct code (nnnnnnABA#) https://www.pcdied.com/TAG-jive/tag-elite8540w.JPG I will guess it is 17" laptop, here is the mess just that 1 sized once you see this you know that G series means not MUCH> https://search.brave.com/images?q=hp+G+series++pavilion++17%22+G&source=web

The airplane mode button is stuck on orange although my computer say's airplane mode off

old PCs do that, for many reasons. but no PC told at all just HP. 40 years of PCs ,10000 + models nobody can guess ever. but I do have the answer, in pure generic form. did you buy the PC like that used and bad Wifi. ?
  1. the wifi card is missing, as was super common 10+ years ago.
  2. someone put in the wrong card, not from HP list
  3. HP blacklists (bios blocks) none HP cards (wifi)
  4. the card needs a driver to work if not it is dead or 1/2 dead.
  5. the PC needs 1 more driver to make the wifi buttons all work , all buttons related, if not they are dead or act odd.
  6. The OS is infected, no OS told at all, not one clue nor if upgraded the OS, and not vast drivers are wrong or missing, (classic)
Im sure this this is not the free w10 upgrade, if it was that too kills drivers dead, for sure HP told you this unstated PC will not run W10 and has zero support from HP, on w10 AS YOUR SUPPORT PAGE WILL DISCLOSE TO YOU AT HP.COM

How reinstall bios on a HP dv9000

bad news now your bricked it just like miillions did google bios update bricked my PC and cry. why are you here and not at HP.com only they can recover bios. they changed the rules now 10 time. so only they know this, and are pain to deal with. UEFI is the enemy here, new rule and regressive as can be. in fact all new PCs can not be regressed, and some old now they even delete the 20 version of bios there, to force that. not saying they did that to your PC, but keep that in your head on all HP PC. the last bios upgrade stated, no going back. the Cntrl_+B might work , the flashback bios trick\ in your manual if you read it.
