I have a Samsung C230 LED monitor and I'm

as far as i can tell this monitor is not HDCP compliant ( High Def Copy Protection ) and therefore will not be suitable as a TV monitor. Computers can use non HDCP compliant monitors but TV Tuners, Satellite Receivers, DVD players etc with HDMI are HDCP compliant and must have a HDCP display... HDMI has two formats basically HDCP and non HDCP

Lcd monitor stuck in powersave

This may not be the monitor that is causing the problem, try your system with a different monitor. I think the problem may be with your computer. Check your RAM-remove the sticks one at a time.

Monitor fades to white.

Check the capacitors on the power supply board. The tops should be flat, no bulging or puffing up at all. The fading to white usually indicates a failure of one or more capacitors on the board. Here is a link to a repair kit if you find blown capacitors on the board.http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=241

My model : Samsung SyncMaster

Good Morning!
One thing that I have noticed when I change settings on my monitor is that sometimes it needs to be re-aligned. Thankfully this is very easy to do. There is a button on the bottom right of the screen that says "Auto". dantheman286.png
Press this button and you should see the screen shift and become sharper.
If this does not work, you may want to change the monitor back to the default settings. You can do this by navigating through the menu: Press the Menu Button -> Select "Setup" from the on-screen menu -> And then separately select "Image Reset" and "Color Reset".
Please feel free to comment back if this does not solve your problem.
Thanks!

Screen not coming on at start up. just blue power

Hi,

I can think of a few possible reasons
First, did you check all the card connections? A lost PCI connection could easily cause such unstable behaviour and check ram,
remove 1 of the ram memory cards,  after that you check its working or not.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

I have a blurry screen on my 904 bw

Canbe due to a faulty LCD , a problem in the main board . Now to confirm this you need to check your PC with another monitor . if so the monitor is faulty and a check on the backlight setting will confirm if there is low drive from the invertor board.

I have a Samsung SuncMaster 940BW 19'' LCD

This is a common problem with monitors when changing resolution. What probably happened is you may have tried to change the resolution, or an application changed the resolution, to an incompatible resolution.

For example, if you have a tiny little screen it can't display that huge resolution that a 32 inch monitor has. So, your monitor is stuck in that wrong resolution.

To fix this problem, you need to boot into Safe Mode. Restart your computer, and as it is booting up tap F8 a bunch of times, and then select Boot into Safe Mode.

When it boots up, right click on the desktop, click Properties (Windows XP) or Screen Resolution (Windows 7). When the window pops up, click Settings (if on Windows XP, if on Windows 7 skip to next step). From this window, change the resolution back to the basic 800 x 600 screen resolution.

Now, reboot your computer normally. You should be able to see the desktop. Now, you can do the same thing that you did in safe mode and turn up your resolution. BUT, when you change it, if the screen goes BLANK again, DO NOT press anything. After 15 seconds it should go back, and you can try a lower resolution.

Hope this helps! Thanks for using FixYa.

I need to connect my

You don't connect speakers to the monitor, you connect it to the tower of the computer. If I'm not understanding your question right then please be more specific. If your monitor has speakers, you connect the audio cord to the tower then to the monitor or vise versa.

My whole screen has a blueish green tint

  • Make sure the plugs are hard into the sockets, one loose pin can cause strange colour problems.
  • A faulty signal cable between PC and monitor can also cause colour problems, try a different cable if possible
  • Try it on a different computer to find out whether the computer or the monitor is the problem. If it's the monitor and none of the above works, it will need service or replacement. If it's the computer, your video card is likely to be the problem.
