Hp plasma ID5226N can get external audio input

DVI cables are usually HDMI compatible. The downside is that DVI usually doesn't carry any audio. Your computer may need a specific audio card to transmit audio/video data from your DVI output to the HDMI input on the TV. You can find one at your local computer store and ask if it is compatible with your computer
I hope this helps...good luck

The tv will turn onto the polaroid title and it turns off

There are one or two typical causes of the problems. The 24vdc power supply is bad due to bad DC filter caps, or the backlight inverterter board has short circuits. Those are the two areas to start checking first.

Check to see if the 24vdc feeding the inverter board disappear whent he sceen goes black, if it is OK, then check the Backlight ON signal on the inverter board, if you do have signal and the 24vd, then you have bad Inverter board, worst case will be bad lamps.

Lost the volume on my poaroid FLM-3734B HDTV

The sound proceesor may have gone out or the power amplifiers that drive the speakers may have gone bad.
Try this first to narrow down the problem, try hooking up powered PC speakers to the Audio line out RCA jacks to see if you do get sound there, if it is OK then you have problem in the power amplifiers section, if you do not get sound, then the sound processor has gone out, both the sound processor and the power amp are on the main logic board, You do do get sound from RCA jacks you may want to keep using it that way since the main board and the labor for repairing LCD TV is not cheap.
