What is causing the screen colour to be distorted
Could be connection via the LCD to motherboard on the laptop.
Could be a driver issue, usually gives inverted colors if the driver is not the proper driver or out of date driver
Could be a video card issue on the motherboard
BIOS issue, there maybe BIOS update to resolve this issue. Suggest you do this last, cause this is something you need to be especially careful off doing. If this procedure messes up, then your laptop is totally screwed. Think of BIOS as your brain, if something in the brain screws up, then your body will not function properly and you will be not the same ever again.

The solution I found that worked is:
(BLACK SCREEN ALL LIGHTS BLUE)
Press start up button for five seconds (ALL LIGHTS GO OUT)
Press start up button with single quick touch (ALL LIGHTS COME ON)
You will get BOOT UP screen
Press F10 (probably will say please wait)
BIOS screen comes up
Press F9 and YES (accept)
Press F10 and Yes (accept)
Should start up PC automatically
Screen darker than normal which buttons do I hit
Go to settings, go to display, and move the bar up or look for icons at the top of your keyboard that looks like the sun and press them. If your screen is still dark, then you need a new bulb.

in most cases, the administrator account which is always hidden for such purposes has no password.
You can log into your administrator account in safe mode and then delete your user account, then create a new account with another password.
To log into safe mode, power your computer and imediately press F8.
After a few seconds, list of options will be displayed, select Login with safe mode.
After a few seconds, your list of user accounts will be displayed, select "Administrator" and log in.
Hdd format
If you want to format the entire hard disk. Follow these steps
1-Save your data from the hdd
2-USe your CD/DVD to install Windows XP.
3- During the process when you are required to install the windows. Delete all the partition and create with your own accordance.
4- For example *1024x40 =40960 it means 40 GB.
5-if you unable to format or delete the all the partitions in Windows 7.
