I found that MP3 players need to be plugged into a USB PORT not a USB HUB. Good Luck!

When I plug my headphones into the audio output

Either your jack on the earphones is bad or the female end on the player is bad. Your not getting good continuity going to the speakers in the earphones. Try another set of earphones. You may be able to clean the jacks with alchohol and see if this clears it up. Sounds like a broken wire in the headphones to me!

It will only hold about 20 songs (its 2gb) and

Plug your player into your computer with the USB lead,
Open MY COMPUTER and see the removable drive.
Right Click and select FORMAT
Note - this will delete everything on there but lets you start again and should hold many more songs
Hope this helps

Why is it that it takes around 12 hrs for my laser

Your internal rechargeable Lithium battery must be getting old and therefore starting to loose its capacity to charge completely. Another symptom is significant reduction in Total play time and faster discharge on standby.

Laser v-mate MP4 player

from your desktop select <START> then <PROGRAMS> <ACCESSORIES> <PROGRAM COMPATIBILITY WIZARD>
If you cant see "Getting older programs to run on Windows XP" in the box for "Fix a problem" then type it into the search box. It will bring up a program with instructions to follow to allow the windows 98 driver to run on your operating system.
It worked for me, now I just have to figure out what to do with it

Can not load set up for Laser MP4-Q12-4G

you don't need the driver that comes with it, windows xp already sees the drive as a flash drive (or similar)
the cd didn't come with software
you can download it from http://www.laserco.com.au/support/drivers/mp3_mp4/v2g/v2g.zip

if you want a good program to convert video search for a amv video convertor
.amv is the format used (128x128 screen size if you use anything else)

My computer does not recogcnise the mp3 player when plugged in

you'll have to be more specific with what kind of mp3 player you have...and yes a driver download should fix the problem. also try going to start>control panel>add new hardware and go through the "Add new hardware wizard"

FORD CD player wont load after I ejected a CD that was playing fine. Plays CD fine but it won't load another. As it loads it makes a clicking sound & ejects the CD. Seems it has to cool B4 it loads!!

How old is the vehicle this player is in? CD players do get old. I'm assuming you've tried 3 or 4 different CD's? The 'clicking' could be the gearing that pulls the disc in and out. They are often plastic gears which can wear or break over time. Sadly if this is the case you'll need to replace the entire player.
