The printer may need a "swing plate" replaced to solve the fuser noise. Remove the fuser and look at the black gear inside the printer on the left side. Do the teeth on that gear look worn ? If so that gear (swing plate) needs to be replaced. Its a hard job to do. Can you turn the fuser gears with it out of the machine without them skipping ? The tray 2 jam may just be worn rollers in tray 2 or a stuck sensor. Good luck !

when powered off the printer, press 3 and 6 and hold, power on, make your choice at menu, (cold reset) and press ok. printer will restart itself.

The cartridge isn't being recognized by the printer. Send the cartridge back to the manufacturer.

Hello Robert,The normal cause of not being able to pull paper from tray 2 is worn out paper pickup rollers. You can pull out the paper tray and look inside the opening the opening to see the rollers on the right hand side. Here is a picture of the rollers.The end of the roller has a little clip to press to release the rollers from the shaft. If you remove them and check the surface you will probably find then to be smooth, they should have a surface like a fingerprint to grab the paper. The rollers come in a kit called RK-4250 that included the rollers for tray 1 and tray 2. The RK-4250 is available here: http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=302 Replacing the rollers should bring the printer back to full use. Be sure that when you replace the rollers that you puch them back on the shaft until they click into place.I hope this helps you get your printer going,BuddyMc

Have you replaced the pickup rollers yet? The rollers are the most common cause of paper jams and multi-sheet paper feeds. The pickup rollers come in a kit with rollers for tray 1 and tray 2 along with a new transfer roller. The kit is available here:http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=302Look at your pickup rollers, they should have a rough surface almost like a fingerprint, if the surface is smoother then they need to be replaced.
