My ink cartridges are full however when I print

Remove the cartridge and clean the electrical contacts with a q-tip and bottled or distilled water (do not use alcohol, this can cause problems). DO NOT CLEAN THE HEAD AREA.
Clean the contacts in the cartridge carriage as well.
Make sure you removed the protective tape from the ink cartridge. It may have ripped and still be covering the head area.
reinsert the cartridge.
Try printing about 5 pages.
If the 5th page is still blank, either the printer is defective, the cartridge is empty or not a genuine Dell cartridge, or the cartridge is defective (in this case, call 310-DELL and get it replaced).
if the printer is defective (IE - if you tried ANOTHER cartridge, and are getting the SAME results) then the printer needs to be serviced. If it's under warranty, call Dell - they will replace it.

Printer doesn't print. How do I fix it? I went

hi,

try the following too

- restart your computer ensure the printer cable is well plugged in and the printer is powered

- resend the printing job

- if it does not still print, then you try to print a test page from the printer ..

- via control panel to view devices and printers form where you can then trouble shoot the printer..... by doing some maintainance like aligning printing head and cleaning the printing head..

- one very and the most common reason your printer would not print even when all this is right is if there is the wrong cartige in the printer therefore ensure the ink cartige being used is compartible with that of the printer and has ink in it..

i really hope this has being helpfull

Every time i try to

The previous print job was jammed and when the paper was removed, a small scrap was left in the paper path. use a flashlight and look in where the paper is picked up, look carefully for that scrap and remove it. then with a damp cloth rub the pick up roller and you should be able to feed paper again.

My Dad bought new ink

After installing new ink cartridges in your Dell all-in-one 926 printer, you may receive an error message telling you the print does not recognize the new cartridges. Refilled or third-party cartridges, which Dell does not recommend using with the 926, often trigger the error message. You may also receive this error after you have been using the same ink cartridges for some time. Whether the cartridges are new or not, the error can be caused by a number of sources. Following the steps below should clear up print cartridge problem.

  • 1

Open the Dell 926's front cover with the power on and wait for the cartridge carriage to come to a stop. Remove the ink cartridges by pressing on the tabs at the top of each cartridge. Check the cartridges to make sure you have removed all of the blue protective plastic film. Look for the "Dell" logo stamped into the cartridges' lids to ensure they are genuine cartridges.

  • 2

Clean the shiny metal portions of the ink cartridges with a damp microfiber cloth. Allow each cartridge to dry completely.

  • 3

Clean out any paper, staples or other debris that you may be able to see, then reinsert the cartridges into their appropriate slots. Put the black ink cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot. Make sure both click back into place.

  • 4

Close the Dell 926's front cover and turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord and USB cable from the printer for five seconds, then reconnect them.

  • If your Dell 926 fails to recognize the print cartridges after following the above instructions,

take it to a repair shop for servicing.

DELL PHOTO 926- ALL IN ONE- ERROR CODE-

    Follow the below instructions

    1. Lift the printer unit up. Position the scanner support beam between the tabs to hold the printer unit lid open. The ink cartridge carrier moves to the loading position in the center of the printer.

    2. Press down on the lever in front of the right and left ink cartridges lid. The lid opens and raises up.

    3. Remove the color and black ink cartridges from the carrier. Inspect the cartridges to ensure that it is compatible with the Dell 926 printer. The proper cartridge is called Dell 926 Standard Capacity Color Ink and Dell Standard Capacity Black Ink.

    4. Examine the cartridges for any tape over the ink nozzle. New cartridges have a strip of tape covering the bottom of the cartridge that must be removed before installing into the printer.

    5. Insert the cartridges into the carrier so the label is on top with the color logo side going in first. Press the lid down to snap it into place.

    6. Push the scanner support bar back to release it. Lower the printer unit until it is closed.

    7. Turn the printer off. Restart the computer. Turn the printer on. If the error message appears again, the cartridges may be defective and needs to be replaced.

I hope this clears up your problem.

I do not know what I did but I can not make a copy

Just pretend that you are trying to make a copy and observe if the original is being lighted by the light source. If that is a fluorescent tube as many are, it may have died and need replacement. All-in-ones vary in their degree of difficulty in accessing that thin tube and it may not even be at fault; they require a high voltage power source (inverter) that can also fail. The housings are often fastened with a few screws and many snap-in tabs making them tough to get into. You might get ask for an estimate before dropping it off somewhere for service since the replacement cost may now be less than the cost of repair.

    I have a Dell 926

    1) IF...IF...you had not printed with it for a while prior to the two weeks that it's been doing this, then you could try cleaning off the ink cartridge jet (or whatever it's called) with a Q-tip dampened with alchohol and see if that helps. It should tell you if ink is available.

    2) This is a longshot, BUT, if for some reason you haven't powered off your computer during this "printer problem" time. I only mention this because those of us who have had computers for a long while may have listened to the advice to NOT turn off the computer. I followed that advice for a long time. I'm still bad about not powering down nightly, so thought I would mention this. My Lexmark Z705 recently did what your Dell 926 is doing. I tried powering off/on the printer, tried a fresh cartridge and nothing. I tried the "test page" option in the Lexmark troubleshooting software and "nothing". It wasn't until I rebooted my computer that I hit paydirt and the printer started working. Go figure.

Are you using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges?

Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has.

Power on the printer. Open the printer and take out the Dell Series 9 Black cartridge. make sure all the tape is off the cartridge and put the cartridge back in. Now do the same for the Dell Series 9 color cartridge.

You are using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges, correct?

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.

Black cartridge = black side(left side) Color cartridge = color side(right side)
