How to get the plastic strip back in my dell 926

This is a "carriage timing belt" or in tech term's an "encoder strip". It reads the cartridge carriage when it moves left to right for positioning. Is either of the ends split or broken? If so, you are out of luck trying to reinstall it. I would recommend replacing your printer since this isn't a very expensive one. Just find a electronic waste disposal facility (or local E-waster drive at your nearest school, etc) or check with your city or state and find out where you can drop it off. Good luck.

Printer is blacking everything out

Hi,The print head nozzles may be clogged. From the Utility section found in the printer driver, clean the print heads by performing a head cleaning followed by printing a nozzle check pattern. A head cleaning and nozzle check must be performed as a cycle. After printing a nozzle check, examine the printed dot pattern. Each staggered horizontal and straight vertical line should be complete, with no gaps in the dot pattern. If there are gaps in the dot pattern, continue with another cycle. Performing up to 6 cleaning cycles is not uncommon if the print heads are severly clogged.Now you will be able to print in colour.Hope this helps.Shane

Why does the dell photo cartridge for 926 not lock in place?

its hard to explain on how to place it back, but try to remember on how you took out the old cartridge then reverse it. all it needs is a good push dell printer

My DELL AIO photo 926 is telling me to remove tape from cartridges, how do I do that or how to solve this problem? i have new ink cartridges in already

remove the tape from the cartridges, it has tape on the contact point of the cartridge, pull them out again and double check dell printer

take the cartridge out and put it back in, sometimes they don't line up right, or communicate properly with the printer, or there is a malfunction with the cartridge

Hi,if you have the users manual (given that it has worked properly in the past) my suggestion would be to disconnect the printer from the computer/uninstall the current software/then with your manual in hand follow the guidance PRECISELY to reinstall the printer. If you do not have the manual it can be obtained (free) from the Dell site. Just before doing the uninstall/reinstall if you haven't already done so you might go to the Dell download site and install the latest drivers for the printer from there.Hope this helpsThanksDennis

I cannot align my dell all in one printer photo

You might have to uninstall the printer restart your computer then reinstall your printer click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow? ! question exclamation mark or a red X this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also you can troubleshoot the device hope this helps you

Start, control panel, printers, your printer, printer preferences, advanced. Uncheck the complete-a-print boxes and also check to make sure the print in black & white box in unchecked.Rick
