1.Press Menu = printer displays "Paper Menu"
2.Press Next 4x = printer displays "System Menu"
3.Press Select 1x = printer displays "Factory Defaults"
4.Press Next 7x = printer displays "Reset Toner Life"
5.Press Select 1x = printer displays "Resetting Toner Page Count"
6.Press Ready

You need to do s head clean. This could take 2 or 3 goes but should fix it you will find head clean in the maintenance settings. It eats the ink so only do as you need. let me know how it goes. Regards Craig

If you printer has an additional memory card fitted then remove it (powered off of course) and turn on and see what happens. If the fatal error is still there then with the age of the machine (getting on in years) it is better to replace it as the error refers to the cpu in the control board and that's expensive on older machines to replace.

replace 1 fuser unit or 2 transfer belt

the best soloution is to replace the unit with a brand new one as reset fuses are difficult to work with on fuser units but if you search the internet you might be able to find a reset kit from alibaba or amazon

remove drum units and clean optical sensors located at the back end of he drum slots and clean corresponding reflective plates on drum units

your drum cylinder (opc) or dev roller needs to be replaced

Does not work on OKI C830. Get error message such as toner level error.

Amber's solution worked on an oki c5150 as well as on her 5500. At first, I got into other menus and did not see what she'd described. I cancelled out, then re-ran her procedure following its steps EXACTLY... At the very end, I may have seen one additional message - "EXECUTE" - which I "entered" to launch the process. Printer now works while I find instructions on how to replace "just the drum". The OEM drum assembly is very easy to change but costs about $125. I found (on Universal Ink & Toner) a drum-only replacement for $30, but there was no instruction sheet with it. This solution has allowed me to keep working while I figure out how to install the new drum. Print quality was excellent right up until the manufacturer's internal counter shut printing down. remove the toner/drums and transfer belt. on the right side is the reg rollers. there is a black arm and sensor the detects the paper weight etc there. that will control the paper sense errors, make sure it moves freeley, clear of paper, dust etc.

1.Click on Start and go to control panel 2. Go to programs and then uninstall a program. 3. Find and uninstall your printer software. 4. Restart your system and install your printer. 5. Restart your system. 6. Live Happily ever after !

probably one of colour cartridges (usually not original from OKI) is updetting the printers logic Swap they around (even if you have to use old cartridges), find offending one and replace. Simple.
