Phaser 8560 printing fuzzy.

The cause of the blurry prints is that oil, from the maintenance kit, has leaked onto the drum encoder assembly. The drum encoder is responisble for position the Y-Axis or vertical direction of the print. The oil on the encoder is making the printer incorrectly position the drum as the pinthead is spray ink onto it, thus you get a blurry print. If you look closely, letters probably have a downward jag to them.
There are two ways to fix this. The cheapest and easiest method is to remove the right side cover, then the fan on the right. Behind that fan is the drum encoder wheel. Using a lint free cloth and isopropyl alchol (preferably 99%), clean all the oil off of the sensor disc. This method might work for a while, but the problem will ussually come back.

The second method would be to just replace the drum assembly. The drum assembly comes with a new encoder disc.

The display (menu screen) can easily be fixed by replacing the control panel (part# 848K06552). It's pretty simple to replace w/ no tools required. Here is video to show you how.

Hi

The main suspect for blurry printing could be oil from the drum has ran off over the drum encoder position sensor. Remove the right cover, and the fan on that side. Partially remove the clear plastic sensor cover underneath of the encoder and go in with Isopropyl and Q-tips.
Clean the sensor and generally with Isopropyl and Q-tip. Clean the nearby wires and anything that might be transporting more oil back to your sensor.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept this "particular" suggestion.

8560 xerox ink is stuck

Try removing the ink loader and using a small flat head screw driver or pen to push the ink out. There is a small gap under the ink near where plate that melts the ink you should be able to stick a small screw driver through there. If all else fails you could replace the ink loader as a last resort (part# 133K27771). Iteminc.com has that part in stock and ships same day. Here is a video that shows you how to remove and install the ink loader. Hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa!

09,036,44;48026

That error states that the ink counter sensor flags are stuck. 9,036 means it is the Magenta one. Make sure there is no blockage in the ink loader and that you are using Genuine Xerox ink sticks. If both of those are true you may need to replace the ink loader. The part # is 848K06380, iteminc.com has this part online. Here is a video that shows you how to replace this part, the video is of a non-mfp version so it will be a bit different but still similar. Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa!

Printer keeps jamming even when

I was having problems with slow copy start-up. I was going to move my 8560 upstairs because I couldn't get the wireless to work. After I got the printer broken down and tried io replace the wax tray, it wouldn't go all the way in. When I got a flashlight and looked inside, to my horror there was a piece of paper wnd gobs of wax which had been unable to be cleaned out. After manualy removing all this, my 8560 warmed up more quickly. I must remind you there was no indication of anyt jam. Hope this helps, RD Price

I read the discussion that

The operational power consumption of the Xerox Phaser 8560MFP/D is around 230 Watts. It is OK to plug a printer into a UPS outlet that uses only the surge protector outlet on the UPS. The usual advice is to not plug a printer into a UPS outlet that will draw power from the battery. Inkjet printers use little power and can be connected to a UPS. Laser printers use much more power. Don't plug them into a UPS unless you are sure the batteries can supply enough power. Since you have a laser printer, I wouldn't plug it into the battery side of the UPS unless it had at east twice the required wattage of your printer, if it is the only device to be used on that UPS. I wouldn't recommend plugging it into a UPS that has a computer, server, etc. plugged in as well, especially if it is mission critical.
