We have a Dell 3010cn

Hi

The "fuser" uses heat to melt the toner-ink onto the paper, to "fix" the ink to the paper.

Open the printer, remove the cartridge, and make sure that the fuser is _exactly_ "seated" into its socket. Replace the cartridge, and try againn.

Otherwise, take the printer to a qualified technician.

Bought iMac and want to

Hello
I have contacted Dell on this laser model 3010cn printer and as of this time no software to support the iMac operating system has been released for this printer. Below is a list of the operating systems this printer can be used with. As you can see Mac is not listed.

Dell 3010n printer remain in

Hi

Please try this solution.
Remove the USB cable into the printer and leave the printer
on.
Remove all the cartridges.
Close the cartridge door and wait for the INSERT INK
MESSAGE to appear.
Disconnect the power cable and from the power source supply.
Move the carriage using your hand from the original position to
the other side of the printer and then move it back to original
position. Wait for couple of minutes
Reconnect power cord and turn on the printer.
Return all the ink cartridges and close the door. Wait for the
calibration process.
Print the test page to check if it working.
Reconnect the USB cable and try to print again.

The yellow toner keeps leaking out and after only

the printer is fixable seems like you need to get another toner cartdrige clean out the area and printer drum and make sure to shake the cartridge and remove ALL the tape that protects it thats why its leaking

DELL 3010, INSTALLING BLACK CARTRDGE AND ITS

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

My Dell 3010cn has does not print the far right

Hi,
It is most likely be due to dust/ toner dust accumulation at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the copier, which partially blocks laser beams and results in faint print. Therefore the printer requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional.

This is interesting. Did you pay extra for this feature? Just kidding.

Since this is a laser printer, I must say I think your trouble is with the carona wire, something on the drum or there is something on the underside of your glass that that you cannot see.

Please do a complete cleaning of your printer. Of course you should not touch the surface of the drum, but you can clean the entire paper path. Here is the manual if you don't have one: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/3010cn/en/index.htm

I suspect the corona wire is not doing a complete cleaning job, might not be properly grounded or has dirt or something on it.

Please bring me up to date on this matter ... I mav other tips to try.

Brownish stripe (vertically) down the

Replace the drum. the toner is in tubes, and uses a common drum. the drum is replaceable. Go to your local refiller, and get it done quickly.

Dell 3010cn error code 077

The Paper Cover is located on the top of the printer. It is the vented panel just behind where your printed documents come out. It lifts up to clear paper jams, and documents won't print until it is closed. Just push the panel down until it clicks in place...that should do it!

When I print on legal size paper, the color is

Hi, I am Steve, lets get you some help.
Typically this indicates that the printer needs cleaning. However, the fact it is only happening on Legal Paper suggests it is specific to this type of paper only. I would check that and perform a clean of the printer just to exclude this as the cause.
The first thing to check is that the printer is configured for Legal Paper from the paper tray supplying said paper. Click here for the user guide with instruction on how to set paper size.
If the printer is set correctly then you need to make sure that the application(s) you are printing from a setup correctly (specifics will vary based on the application) but it needs to be setup for legal pager size and to be accessing the correct tray in the printer.
If none of these work, I recommend installing the printer driver again on the PC. Click here for a list of drivers fro this printer.
